YESTERDAY it was revealed that Lily James has been lined up to play Pamela Anderson in sex tape drama with Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee.
It will depict the sex-tape scandal that rocked Hollywood, as well as the pair's whirlwind relationship, which saw them marry in 1995 after knowing each other for only 96 hours.
But this is far from an isolated incident for the former Baywatch star, who has been at the centre of various scandals at the height of her fame.
From her links to Julian Assange to her Hepitistus C diagnosis, the actress has been far from a shrinking violet during her time in showbiz.
Here we reveal her most controversial moments…
SEX TAPE SCANDAL
Pamela, 53, married Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, 52, in 1995 after knowing him for just four days.
Their sex tape, made on their honeymoon, was stolen from their home and circulated on the internet without their consent.
She later sued video distribution company Internet Entertainment Group.
Years later another video involving Pamela and musician Bret Michaels, made before the Tommy Lee tape, also appeared online.
HEPATITIS C DIAGNOSIS
Pammie revealed back in 2002 that she contracted hepatitis C from sharing a tattoo needle with Tommy Lee.
She lived with the disease for 13 years before she announced that was cured in 2015.
She broke the news on Instagram, posting a nude photo of herself looking happy and healthy.
It had the caption: “I am CURED!!!! I just found out no more hep C.”
Anderson and Assange, 49, supposedly dated when he lived at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London from 2012 to 2019 to avoid espionage charges in the US and a rape allegation in Sweden.
Assange in 2006 started Wikileaks, which publishes confidential documents and images, and came under the international spotlight in 2010 after exposing classified documents from then-US Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning.
Anderson met Assange through fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood and was photographed visiting him at the Ecuadorian Embassy.
The former Playboy model wrote on her blog at the time that Assange should not be “illegally detained” and that he was only “trying to help.”
Anderson said in a poem in 2017 that Assange “is one of my favorite people” and that he is the “most politicized refugee of our time.”
Back in 2013 a raunchy advert starring Pamela was banned from going out before the watershed by advertising chiefs because it has been deemed demeaning to women.
The ad for Crazydomains.co.uk was ruled to be “sexist and likely to cause serious offence to some viewers”, according to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
Baywatch legend Pammie played a company boss chairing a meeting when one of her male colleagues starts to daydream about her 13 seconds into the clip.
The dream sequence is prompted by an attractive brunette assistant offering the group cream in their coffees.
The two women are then seen dancing in gold bikinis while cream is poured over them to the soundtrack of a cheesy soul song.
After 45 seconds of the two girls writhing around, the clip then cuts to the former Baywatch star asking her colleague a question leaning down to reveal her cleavage as she does so.
Following complaints from four viewers, the ASA ruled the advert must not be broadcast again in its current form before 9pm.
Three years earlier Pamela appeared in a Peta campaign where she stripped down to a bikini encouraging people to go veggie.
The advert was later banned in Montreal, Canada.
A City spokesman informed PETA of their decision, in a statement: "I have to inform you that we, as public officials representing a municipal government can not endorse this image of Ms. Anderson.
"It is not so much controversial as it goes against all principles public organizations are fighting for in the everlasting battle of equality between men and women."
In 2018 Pamela branded the campaign as “third wave feminism” and insisted that it “‘paralyses men.”
The American actress said: “I think that this Me Too movement is a bit too much for me. I’m sorry, I’ll probably get killed for saying that, but my mother taught me, don’t go to a hotel with a stranger.
“I think this feminism can go too far. I’m a feminist, but I think that this third wave of feminism is a bore. I think it paralyses men.”
A year earlier she made an agonising claim that Harvey Weinstein’s victims walked into their own assault and need to stop making "excuses".
Speaking on NBC's 'Megyn Kelly Today', the host asked: "Were you surprised when you heard all the women coming out about him?"
The star replied: "No. I think it was common knowledge that certain producers and certain people in Hollywood are people to avoid. Privately.
"You know what you’re getting into if you go to a hotel room alone."
Ms Kelly added: "Well a lot of the women talk about how they felt – their agent set it up, their agent wouldn’t put them in a dangerous position."
But Anderson replied: "Send somebody with them, that’s what they should have done. I just think there’s easy ways to remedy that, that’s not a good excuse."
PAM'S MANY MARRIAGES
She first wed Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, after knowing him for just 96 hours in 1995.
The pair, who married on a beach with Pamela in a bikini, divorced three years later.
Despite the split, the couple had been very on and off over the years, and reunited after he was released from prison, and also in 2008.
She previously was engaged to model Marcus Schenkenberg before they split in 2001.
Her next husband was singer Kid Rock in 2006, who she wed on a yacht near Saint-Tropez in France.
She filed for divorce in November 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.
On September 2007, the blonde beauty announced to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she was engaged once more, and wed film producer Rick Salomon a month later in Vegas.
The marriage was annulled in February 2008, but the pair later remarried on an unspecified date, and got divorced in 2015.
In 2017, after her fourth failed marriage, Pamela hooked up with professional footballer Adil Rami, who is 19 years her junior.
It looked as if she might have finally found the real deal, but two years into their relationship, Pamela took to Instagram to tell her followers that Adil was leading a "double life".
Nevertheless, Pam called it quits in June 2019.
And in January this year Pamela tied the knot with movie mogul Jon Peters.
The A Star Is Born movie producer has also been married four times before, with his ex-wives including Lesley Ann Warren and Christine Forsyth-Peters.
He was also in a relationship with Barbara Streisand for several years.
They first met in the mid-80s, with Jon previously recounting: "I walked in and saw this little angel sitting at the bar. It was Pammy. She was like 19. I knew she would be a big star."
He even proposed to the then-teen soon after they met, but she rejected him.
