Danni Menzies told fans that she wanted to “own her flaws” in a candid social media post today and so spoke out about a skin condition she suffers from called melasma. The A Place In The Sun presenter shared an unfiltered make-up free selfie online, which she said captured the skin discolouration on her forehead.

Danni admitted that she was “quite nervous” about showing her face without any cosmetics.

The Channel 4 star said she normally covers up the pigmentation, as it made her feel “self conscious” when in front of the camera filming scenes for the property show.

Danni decided to take the plunge and post the snap to share some “realness”.

She needn’t have worried as fans thought the star was a natural beauty.

“Would you look at that forehead??!” the presenter’s post began.

“This is a sweaty no filter make-up free gym selfie to keep it REAL!

“Actually quite nervous about posting this,” she went on to say.

“Since spending so much time in the sun, despite wearing factor 50 everyday, I’ve developed really bad pigmentation on my forehead called Melasma. It’s really common apparently,” Danni added.

The presenter went on to say that she had tried lots of products to deal with the condition but had no luck.

Danni continued: “Just thought I’d share some realness with you all as it’s something I became really self conscious about when on camera as it’s tough to cover up, however I’m trying to be less self-conscious about it.

“Tbh [to be honest] make-up and filters help me out but Gram if you have any suggestions I’d love some help!

“Regardless, I’m trying to get better at owning my flaws, no one’s perfect and I’m loving the realness that I see on here these days from you all – so here’s mine! #skin #skinpigmentation #skincare #wearsunscreen #makeupfree,” she signed off.

Many took to the comments section of her post to share their thoughts and advice.

“Still looking great Danni. I have the same Melasma thing going on and I didn’t know what it was called until you mentioned it. I’m not too worried about it yet as long as it goes away after summer,” one fellow sufferer replied.

“No need to worry, naturally beautiful,” another added.

“It looks like cute freckles to me,” a third remarked along with a heart-eyed emoji.

Danni is currently in Greece filming new episodes of A Place In The Sun.

On arrival in Kefalonia last month, the TV star told her 75,400 followers that she felt “so grateful” to be able to travel again for work.

Since then she has delighted fans with many pictures from the sun-soaked island.

Following a trip to the beach in Corfu, she shared a sizzling bikini snap.
