It’s official – Avengers Campus is now open!!
The Marvel-themed land officially welcomed guests at the Disney California Adventure theme park on Friday (June 4) in Anaheim, Calif.
A couple of days before, MCU stars like Brie Larson, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, Anthony Mackie, Zoe Saldana, Jon Favreau and Marvel boss Kevin Feige all checked out the new land, with a few of them taking part in the opening ceremony.
With the new land now open, we are taking a complete look inside, with a full photo gallery of the rides, restaurants, and all of the superheroes that you can find, as well as bringing you some important details on how to visit the Marvel area.
If you don’t already know, Avengers Campus is “dedicated to the next generation of Super Heroes” and invites guests “to team up with the Avengers and their allies to live out their Super Hero dreams in this fully immersive land that mixes innovative technology and fun for all ages.”
The new land includes two rides – Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout and the brand new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure ride. Be sure to check out the teaser of Tom Holland reprising his Spider-Man role for the ride!
Here’s the full ride description for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, via Disneyland: Embark on an action-packed adventure alongside the amazing Spider-Man! When Peter Parker’s helpful but otherwise buggy Spider-Bots get stuck in replication mode and escape from a WEB Workshop, Spider-Man must stop the rampaging robots before they wreak total techno-havoc across Avengers Campus. Problem is, they’re rapidly leveling up and becoming tough to beat!
Your task? Hop aboard a WEB Slinger vehicle and help weave a frenzied web to trap these friendly neighborhood sidekicks in true Spidey style. It’s up to you to unleash your inner hero and save the Campus from complete chaos!
Perfect for up-and-coming recruits—with no height restrictions.
Also featured in the land, Spider-Man will swing above the rooftops with incredible acrobatic feats, Iron Man dons a new suit of armor, Doctor Strange will bring the mystic arts to an Ancient Sanctum, and Ant-Man and The Wasp will appear for the first time at Disneyland Resort. Other heroes that you can find at Avengers Campus include the new Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Dora Milaje from Wakanda.
Outside of the WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction, you can find the WEB Suppliers store, where there is an array of Spider-Man and WEB-themed merchandise. There are customizable, interactive Spider-Bots, like you would find in the attraction, plus “a specially-designed backpack to carry Spider-Bots when they are not in action, Spider-Man light goggles, a take-home spider web kit and Funko Pop! vinyl figurines of Spider-Man and Iron Man.”
You can also find more merch at the Campus Supply Pod, where you can buy “official Avengers Campus gear, including performance fleece hoodies and tees, headwear, drinkware and other Super Hero supplies.”
On the food side, there is the new Pym Test Kitchen, which is “a food innovation science lab where the food and drinks tell a story. Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp use ‘Pym Particles’ to grow and shrink just about anything, Pym Technologies applies this science to the creation of shareable bites, inventive entrees and sweet treats. You will be able to savor such items as the Impossible™ plant-based large and micro meatballs with pasta, or the ‘Pym-ini,’ a panini served by the slice or as a long, multi-portion sandwich.”
You can also order adult beverages at the Pym Tasting Lab, where they have “craft beer, ranging from a blood orange hefeweizen to an amber lager, or try one of the Pym Research Staff’s Pym Particle-infused cocktail experiments.” Both Pym locations will offer mobile ordering in the Disneyland app.
Another food option is the Shawarma Palace, where you can “enjoy a shawarma wrap at this food cart, which is decked out with memorabilia for Avenger fans.” One last option is the Taneleer Tivan, where he “did not limit his collection to lovable misfits; he is also curating a weird and wonderful menu of intergalactic eats at the Terran Treats food cart near Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!”
Guests can also visit the Ancient Sanctum, where “Doctor Strange will train recruits in the mystic arts by bringing this ancient sanctum to life with powerful spells. At night, the area glows even more vividly with majestic colors and lights, pulsating with mystic energy.” Check out more photos of the Ancient Sanctum below…
While Avengers Campus is open, it is currently only available to California residents until the Disneyland parks open up to out-of-state visitors on June 15th.
Fans will need to have both a park reservation and a valid ticket for Disney California Adventure on the same day. Reservations are currently limited and the park is at limited capacity, so be sure to plan ahead!
In order to experience the WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure attraction, visitors will need to “join the virtual queue, only accessible via the Disneyland mobile app. Distribution times for virtual queue enrollment are at 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM each day, subject to availability. In order to give as many Guests as possible the opportunity to sling webs alongside Spider-Man, each Guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day.”
Much like when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened, you will need to get a boarding group pass in order to go on the ride. You can find complete details on Disneyland.go.com or on the Disneyland app!
