Harry Styles‘ hit song, “Watermelon Sugar” has soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the first time that any song by the pop star has achieved this feat.
Released as part of his latest album, Fine Line, which dropped in early December of 2019, the song has seen a recent surge in listens, as it jumped 9-1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, having spiked by 614% to get 63,000 downloads in the week ending on August 6, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
The song also raked up a total of 71.7 million audience impressions in the week ending Aug 9 and rose 29-18 on the Streaming Songs chart.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old singer recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of One Direction, the boy band of which he was previously a member.
“I just can’t believe it’s been ten years,” Styles shared on Twitter. “Thank you to our crew, our team, and everyone else who helped us along the way. To all the fans, I love you, and I thank you with all my heart. You did it all, and you changed everything.”
