Jersy Shore star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and his wife Lauren have welcome their first child together, a baby boy.

The proud father, 38, showed off his newborn son on his social media accounts on Wednesday and revealed his adorable name; Romeo Reign Sorrentino.

Sharing a sweet picture of him shortly after the birth, Romeo can be seen wrapped up in a personalised blanket donned with his name and a little crown design all over.

The doting dad has since shared several pictures of their adorable son in the first few hours after his birth, smiling away in his crib alongside their first family photos together.

Lauren gave birth to her little man via C section last week and Mike made sure he was with her every step of the way, both beaming from the operation table minutes after Romeo arrived.

A few hours later, the couple grabbed one more shot of the trio together after Lauren had chance to rest.

The happy couple were quickly flooded with messages of congratulations from their celebrity pals as they shared Romeo's smiling face with his 2.7 million followers on Instagram.

Mike’s older brother Mark agreed: “Congratulations!!!!!! God bless!!! Going to be a great father!”

The new parents first met in college when Lauren was 19 and Mike was 22 but it wasn’t until 2012 that the couple started dating again.

Since then, the childhood sweethearts have gone from strength to strength and tied the knot in November 2018.

The pair later opened up about their issues with fertility after they suffered a miscarriage in September 2019, shortly after Mike came home from prison for tax fraud.

Lauren found out she lost the baby at around seven weeks pregnant and said the whole experience was “heart-wrenching.”

Speaking on Jersey Shore about their experience, she said: “When I found out we were pregnant, I felt like this is why we went through all these challenges for years and that this was our time and it was out blessing … it was hard.

“It was really difficult. I wanted to share it for other people going through it and just be honest so I can kind of heal through the process.”

The couple happily announced they were pregnant in November with a beautiful picture of the couple and their furry friend Mosey who wrote out the announcement in flour on their kitchen counter.
