Kid Cudi is a big fan of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. He has once again proved his admiration for the legend by inking a new tattoo in his tribute.
The Ohio rapper took to social media to reveal the new ink work, which was designed by renowned Los Angeles tattooist Doctor Woo.
“4 Kurt and salute to Daniel,” Cudi wrote alongside the image of his left forearm.
The tattoo is a recreation of a photo of Cobain from the 1992 MTV VMAs, during which the Nirvana frontman wore a shirt with the cover art of Daniel Johnston‘s 1983 album Hi, How Are You.
Cudi’s 2018 collaborative album with Kanye West, Kids See Ghosts, features a sample of Cobain’s posthumously-released solo track “Burn The Rain.”
In a previous interview with GQ, Cudi said that Cobain had “always been an inspiration” to him.
