The Pennsylvania-born actress began starring in films in 2014 and her first big role was in The Haunting of Hill House in 2018.
For her role in the horror series she was nominated for a Saturn Award and an MTV award, and she went on to have many other successes.

The actress tends to visit red carpet events alone, unlike many other celebrities who tend to bring their partners along.
The 25-year-old, who definitely has a talent for portraying darker roles, is in the spotlight right now following her amazing performance in The Haunting of Bly Manor.
In the series she forms a romantic relationship with Jamie (Amelia Eve) and fans fell in love with their same-sex relationship.
Speaking about the fact her character Dani’s relationship should not be a big deal, she told Town and Country: “Yeah. Very much so. She’s clearly not straight. And that’s where it ends; I don’t think we should be able to make any assumptions beyond that. That’s it. She’s loving who she’s loving.”
So fans love her on-screen relationships, but they are still keen to find out who she is dating in real life.
At the moment she appears to be single, or at least not married, but not much else is known about her relationship status.
She does have an Instagram account, which has more than a million followers, but she has not posted a single photo on her page.
Instead she shares stories, but none of these have given away the identity of a potential love interest.
She told Harper’s Bazaar about her family life and revealed her parents were both artists, with her dad having strong Italian roots.
She said: “My parents have always been supportive of my choice of being an actor. They are not shy of criticism either. They are both artists. My mom was a dancer. They definitely see the value in what I do.”
