  • FIRST IB'S

Chelsea are reportedly hoping to complete the signing of 15-year-old wonderkid Paul Ibahadon.

With Blues boss Frank Lampard determined to give youth a chance at the club, the young centre-back fits the bill.

And he won't cost a penny in transfer fees as he is currently a free agent.

The Birmingham Mail reports that Ibahadon was due to sign for Aston Villa earlier this season, but that fell through.

All Nigeria Soccer claim that international clearance issues prevented it happening then.

But now Chelsea are set to show their hand, and have reportedly invited him to the academy for a trial.

  • GOOD MORNING CHELSEA FANS

Lukas Podolski is uncertain if Kai Havertz will be able to handle the rough and tumble of playing in the Premier League.

The former Arsenal striker praised the Blues target who’s scored 28 Bundesliga goals for Bayern Leverkusen.

However, Podolski, 35, reckons the youngster is missing “some strength and power” in his game.

Chelsea are reportedly holding out for an upfront £18million payment player for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Media outlets in Italy claim the club want suitors to front up their entire asking price should they wish to sign the Stamford Bridge outcast.

AC Milan is reported to be among clubs interested in the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile, Blues fans have flooded social media with posts pleading with the club to buy Real Madrid player Sergio Reguilon.

The 23-year-old put in a solid performance for his loan club Sevilla during their 2-1 Europa League semi-final win against Manchester United.

However, the player is thought to have an agreement in principle in place with Serie A side Napoli.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu have made the short-list of the 2020 Golden Boy awards.

The Chelsea starlets were among the Premier League’s rising stars included on the 60-player shortlist.

Other talents listed included England international Jadon Sancho.

  • BAKA BID BATTLE

Chelsea are reported to be holding out for an £18million upfront payment for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Milan News say the Blues want suitors hoping to sign the 26-year-old to pay the price up front.

AC Milan is reported to be among the clubs interested in swooping for the Stamford Bridge outcast.

Chelsea signed the Frenchman for £40million from Monaco in 2017.

However the player has fallen down Frank Lampard's pecking order after spending two seasons out on loan.

  • BLUES FANS SERG

Chelsea fans have flooded social media this evening with pleas for the club to sign Sevilla loanee Sergio Reguilon.

The player, who is on loan at the LaLiga side from Real Madrid, provided a delightful assist for Sevilla's equaliser against Man United in the Europa League semi-finals.

And some Blues supporters have shared posts on social media begging the club to sign the 23-year-old.

  • GOLDEN BOY HUDSON-ODOI

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu have been added to the list of top young football stars nominated for the 2020 Golden Boy prize.

A 60-player shortlist has been released with 14 Premier League starlets included as well as 20-year-old Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

Last week Hudson-Odoi, 19, amazed fans by taking part in a Sunday league game in Croydon, South London as part of a Black Lives Matter anti-knife crime event.

The player made 22 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season.

  • NAPOLI SERG AHEAD

Napoli have reportedly moved ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon.

The Blues have been strongly linked with a swoop for the defender who is thought to be a cheaper alternative to their other target Leicester City's Ben Chilwell.

Calciomercato claim the Serie A club are front runners to land the Spain international.

The 23-year-old, who has enjoyed a successful loan spell at Sevilla, has three years remaining on his current Real Madrid contract.

  • BARNES BLUES DOUBT

John Barnes reckons Frank Lampard's Chelsea side have a long way to go before they are in a position to challenge for the Premier League crown.

The five-time Premiership title winners finished fourth in the league last term performing beyond expectations with a team filled with academy talent.

Although the Blues have sealed deals for Timo Werner and former Ajax star Hakim Ziyech, Liverpool Barnes believes they will fall short.

Barnes told BonusCodesBets: “I definitely feel like Chelsea can challenge for the top four again next season, but I don't necessarily think they can challenge Manchester City and Liverpool just yet.”

  • PODOLSKI ON WERNER

Former Arsenal and Germany striker Lukas Podolski has had his say on new Chelsea signing Timo Werner as well as the suitability of Blues target Kai Havertz to the Premier League.

About Werner, Podolski said: “If you score 28 goals in the Bundesliga, you are a good player.

“He’s quick, has a good shot, runs a lot and will fit in with this Chelsea team with its young players and coach, if they can accommodate him.”

However, Podolski, now playing for Antalyaspor in Turkey, is unsure whether Havertz is physically ready for a move to England.

He said: “He’s a great talent. On the ball he is so creative, but he’s still young — let’s see if he can fit into the Premier League.

“I think he is still missing some strength and power, but he should taste the drink of the Premier League and see if he likes it.”

  • HAVERTZ LATEST

Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has hinted Chelsea target Kai Havertz will be allowed to leave the club this summer.

Carro confirmed yesterday Havertz had expressed his desire to “take the next step”.

He said: “Many clubs are interested in him.

“I see the player’s wish to take the next step sometime in the near future.

“You have to respect that as much as the fact that he has a contract in until 2022.”

  • TAKE YOUR PICK

Everton's Jordan Pickford is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with the Chelsea No 1 shirt.

Reports from the Express claim the Blues have expressed an interest in the England international.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly lost all faith in Kepa Arrizabalaga and is looking to replace him this summer, with the Blues also linked to Nick Pope, Andre Onana and Arsenal goalie Emiliano Martinez.

Everton would be willing to listen to offers of around £43million for Pickford, 26, and have targeted Watford keeper Ben Foster as a replacement.

  • UNLUCKY 13

The Chelsea exodus looks set to continue in the next few weeks.

After the departures of Willian and Pedro to Arsenal and Roma, respectively, reports say as many as 13 players could follow the pair out the exit door.

Danny Drinkwater, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Baba Rahman, Davide Zappacosta and Kenedy all spent last season out on loan and join Michy Batshuayi in the list of players the Blues are desperate to sell.

Chelsea are also open to offers for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Andreas Christensen, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Jorginho and Ross Barkley.

  • HAVERTZ LATEST

Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has confirmed Kai Havertz's intention to leave the club this summer, amid links to Chelsea.

He said: “It has always been clear that there will be talks once the Europa League is over for us.

“Still, there is no formal offer yet. Kai has told us about his desire to make the next step.

“Whether that can be materialized soon, I can’t say at the moment.

“There are several clubs who have Kai in their plans for the future.”

  • SLAM DUNK

Chelsea look set to beat Tottenham in the race to sign Brighton defender Lewis Dunk, according to reports.

The 28-year-old is a lifelong Chelsea fan and could make a £40million switch to Stamford Bridge.

Frank Lampard is hoping to strengthen his leaky defence in the transfer window and has identified the Seagulls centre-back as the answer.

Spurs are also interested in Dunk, who has spent ten years in the Brighton first team, but it is thought his loyalties to Chelsea may give them the edge.

  • ALONSO OR EMERSON TO INTER

Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Leicester's Ben Chilwell after the Foxes lowered their initial £80million asking price.

The move for Chilwell has cast doubt on the futures of current Blues left-backs Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri with Inter Milan hoping to advantage.

Inter boss Antonio Conte sees both Alonso and Emerson as a perfect fit for his 3-5-2 system.

Emerson is known to be interested in reuniting with former Chelsea manager Conte at Inter and is awaiting an official offer from the Nerazurri.

  • UTD, CHELSEA IN FOR MERET

Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret is open to leaving the club on loan with his agent playing down speculation of a permanent exit.

ESPN reported last week the 23-year-old is being closely monitored by Chelsea and Manchester United.

Meret battled ex-Arsenal keeper David Ospina for a starting spot last season, making 29 appearances in all competitions.

A loan move for the Italian would certainly suit Chelsea, who have already spent almost £90million on the acquisitions of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner

  • CHELSEA EYE NIGERIAN TEENAGER

Chelsea are interested in Nigerian teenager Paul Ibahadon, according to reports from the country.

Ibahadon is a ball-playing defender who can also operate in midfield and had a move to Aston Villa fall through recently due to international clearance issues.

Chelsea youth team coaches ran the rule over Ibahadon in an in-house friendly involving the under-16 team on Friday.

The Blues face competition from Nottingham Forest, West Brom and Birmingham City for the youngster's signature.

  • SANDRO FOR SALE

Juventus will listen to offers for left-back Alex Sandro this summer which could interest Chelsea.

The Blues are known to be long-term admirers and had hoped to set up a swap deal involving Emerson Palmieri before Juve sacked Maurizio Sarri.

Sandro, 29, could be available for a cut-price £36million with Manchester City also interested.

According to Corriero Dello Sport, the Old Lady are hoping to raise around £180million in player sales this summer.

  • BATSHUAYI LATEST

Chelsea are “more than happy” to let Michy Batshuayi leave the club.

Journalist Alan Smith has the inside track on the Belgian's future at the Blues.

He said: “There is no prospect of him returning to Frank Lampard's plans.

“He has one year remaining on his deal, worth more than £100,000 a week, and that likely means another loan, mostly because no sensible club will be willing to pay a fee and offer him similar wages.”

Leeds sporting director Victor Orta has already been offered the chance to sign Batshuayi for £25million.

A move to Elland Road would reunite the 26-year-old with Marcelo Bielsa who he played under at Marseille.

  • FOSTER'S A GOOD CALL

Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster is a target for both Chelsea and Everton, according to reports.

The ex-Manchester United stopper is seen by Frank Lampard as a poisonous seen as a possible solution to his goalkeeping problems following the Hornets' relegation last season.

Lampard wants Kepa Arrizabalaga out the door at the Bridge and would loan him back to Spain if the deal was right.

Foster, 37, is also wanted at Goodison Park where Carlo Ancelotti believes he could provide experienced competition for Jordan Pickford.

  • GOOD MORNING BLUES FANS

London rivals Tottenham are also interested in the Seagulls’ skipper.

But Dunk is a lifelong Chelsea fan and believes he is on his way to Stamford Bridge.

SunSport also understands veteran keeper Ben Foster is a shock emergency target for BOTH Chelsea and Everton.

Blues boss Frank Lampard is looking at a surprise swoop for the 37-year-old as he searches for a solution to his goalkeeping problems.

Lampard wants Kepa Arrizabalaga gone and Chelsea would loan him back to Spain if the deal was right.

He could fit in as second or even third choice if interested.

Meanwhile, Ben Chilwell is nearing a move to Chelsea.

The Times claims Frank Lampard has made a breakthrough in negotiations with Leicester.

The Foxes reportedly want £80million for England left-back Chilwell.
