Couple has baby gender reveal on world’s tallest building with light display

A couple took baby gender reveal parties to new heights by hosting the lavish event at the world's tallest building.

YouTube star Anas and Asala Marwah, known as the Anasala Family with 7.69 million followers, travelled to Dubai's Burj Khalifa to announce the gender of their second child.

The iconic building boasts a towering height of 829.8 m (2,722 ft) over the United Arab Emirates.

Video shared on Twitter shows the couple and their young daughter Mila standing on a grand balcony next to the skyscraper as the gender reveal countdown begins.

Blue and pink LED lights are shown in a child-figure display as Asala says: "I'm so excited to find out the gender."

The entire Burj Khalifa eventually lights up in blue and a message pops up, showing "It's a boy! Congratulations, Anasala Family."

The couple couldn't hold their joyful tears as they thanked the people who help organised the event.

They explained on their YouTube channel: "We wanted to do something unique and memorable so that we can all look at it in the future and remember what we built as a family."

It is rumoured that Anas and Asala spent £74,000 for the extravagant gender reveal party.

A spokesperson for the family said: "This was more than just a gender reveal, Anasala were attempting to create content that has never been seen before worldwide! Which was accomplished."

While her subscribers filled the comments with congratulatory messages, some criticised their over-the-top celebrations.

One said: "September is Childhood cancer awareness month, perhaps you could arrange to light up Burj Khalifa to highlight this!!"

And a second added: "I cannot believe a family who aims to call themselves influencers would do this. Don't celebrate stupidity."
