Globe Trotter and British Airways Commemorate Boeing 747's Retirement With Limited Edition Carry-On

Last year, British Airways retired its entire fleet of Boeing 747 commercial jets after the model served it for almost four decades, and now Globe-Trotter has joined the airline in commemorating The Queen of the Skies through a new limited-edition Speedbird carry-on.

Inspired by the original white and deep blue livery of the BA 747 flights, Globe-Trotter’s latest release comes dressed predominantly in a pristine white, with dark blue leather accents around the corners and the handle of the suitcase. It’s sized to comply with most airlines as carry-on luggage while providing a 34-liter carrying capacity, which the brand says is perfect for two to three-day getaways. Lining the interior is a 747-emblazoned fabric along with an actual piece of the plane on the underside of the lid, paired with a gold Speedbird insignia hand-painted on the exterior.

Limited to just 150 examples made, British Airways and Globe Trotter’s Speedbird carry-on is now available over on the luggage maker’s website for $3,135 USD.

Elsewhere in design, Zero Halliburton has released sleek aluminum-inspired AirPods Pro cases.
