Mum’s easy cooking hack means you’ll never have to de-shell a boiled egg again

Tired of boiling eggs every morning? And having to de-shell them individually?

A mum shared a way to make the job a lot easier.

On Facebook, she revealed you can cook all the eggs in your box at once.

Instead of boiling them with their shells on, she cracks the eggs into a greased heatproof oil.

She then cooks them over a bain-marie, which is the fancy way of saying steaming over a pot of boiling water.

It should take five minutes to cook all the eggs – and you don’t have to spend time de-shelling them when your done.

On Facebook’s Instant Pot Community, the mum wrote: “Works like a charm.

“No ice bath or peeling required. The resulting bowl-shaped egg loaf is initially horrifying.

“But once you chop it up, its wonderful!”

As the poster pointed out, the bowl-shaped mound of eggs isn’t the most appetising thing to look at.

But once the eggs are chopped up and ready to put into sandwiches or salads, they look no different to those that have been boiled.

The post was very well-received on Facebook – and many said they couldn’t wait to try the tip.

One commenter remarked: “I love doing egg, lettuce and mayonnaise sandwiches – going to try this for sure. Looks so easy.”

And another gushed: “I tried this with a bowl in a saucepan and it worked a treat – easiest way to cook eggs by far.”
