CONOR MCGREGOR has teased a switch to WWE by calling out Vince McMahon on Instagram.
The former two-weight world champ retired from the Octagon last month citing a lack of “exciting” fights available to him at lightweight or welterweight.
His coach John Kavanagh has suggested Notorious may not be finished inside the cage.
However, McGregor may have his sights set on the wrestling ring.
His company, The MacLife, showed a photo of the Irishman holding both the WWE Universal Title and his UFC belt.
The 32-year-old shared the image on his own Insta story, tagged Vince’s daughter Stephanie and captioned it with: “McGregor vs McMahon CEO Flashmatch.”
Although he would undoubtedly be a superstar attraction to the WWE roster, McGregor probably would not have too many friends inside the dressing-room.
Back in 2016 he called WWE wrestlers “dweebs” and then described John Cena as “a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia motherf*****”.
But another former UFC icon recently stated he felt McGregor would be a “top candidate” to move into wrestling.
Chuck Liddell said: “Going to WWE depends on the person, if they want to do it and if the opportunity is available – whether it makes sense for WWE to bring them over.
“It depends if he wants to do it, he’s a great trash talker and if he wants to do it then I am sure he’d be worth it to them.
“He’ll come across when he feels like going there if he feels like doing it.”
