Her loss is also her gain.

Shay Mitchell posted a photo showing her weight loss transformation during the pandemic.

“2020 was the year of searching for something to make us feel good. Not even good…to feel fine. Feel ‘normal…’” she captioned the Instagram posted on Wednesday showing off her newly toned body.

The “Pretty Little Liars” actress, 33, explained that she turned to some unhealthy habits to get through her lockdown.

“For me that came in the form of comfort food, comfort clothes and throwing my fitness routine out the window,” she said, adding, “And that was okay…for awhile. They’re called unprecedented times for a reason.”

But Mitchell — who welcomed her first child, baby girl Atlas, in 2019 — decided she had to improve her physical activity in order to better her mental health.

“I also learned about physical and mental self-care, and made a pact with myself that 2021 would be different,” she said. “I wanted to focus on myself again, because I’m the best version of myself for Atlas – and everyone else – when I take care of myself first.”

Mitchell decided to “get [her] s–t together” in January and she partnered with Open Fit.

“In just 4 weeks I have felt more fit than I have in a long time, and already have the results to show,” she said.

She explained that the fitness program involved 30-minute workouts five days a week for just four weeks.

“A clear start, a clear finish and a something that I could totally commit to,” she said. “I have loved getting up these last four weeks and having a routine and a challenge to start the day. I feel more healthy, energetic and engaged…which makes a better me.”

In October 2019, Mitchell and boyfriend Matte Babel welcomed Atlas after 33 hours of labor. One month later, she was back in the gym.
