Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 55, and Prince Edward’s daughter Lady Louise Windsor is being raised without an HRH style but will be able to choose whether or not to use it when she reaches 18. Even though Lady Louise is unlikely to ever be a full time working royal, the Countess seems to enjoy guiding Louise at public events, a body language expert has claimed.
Lady Louise and her brother James, Viscount Severn, 12, are said to be favourites of the Queen’s.
They were the first of the Queen’s grandchildren to visit Balmoral with their parents this summer.
Sophie Wessex has been dubbed the Royal Family’s “secret weapon” for the way she skillfully carries out royal duty without a fuss.
In photos of the Countess and her daughter at public events, Sophie oozes ‘infectious’ confidence, a body language analyst has claimed.
Body language expert and author Judi James told Express.co.uk: “Sophie’s body language rituals with her daughter suggests she’s doing what a lot of mums do when they’re socializing with children who have a tendency to shyness: over-compensating with her own displays of smiling and confidence as well as creating an air of contagious confidence to help the child feed off her own experience and general relaxation about high-profile outings.”
Judi examined a selection of photos of Lady Louise and Sophie together and claimed the royal teenager displayed a ‘more thoughtful’ demeanour.
The expert said: “Lady Louise looks naturally diffident and more thoughtful and reflective.”
Touching on a photo of Louise and Sophie at Burghley horse trials last summer, Judi claimed Louise displayed a need to “feel protected.”
Judi said: “Her bag and her programme are pulled across her body in what looks like a subliminal desire to hide or feel protected from the camera and her gaze is often to one side.”
In contrast to Louise’s more timid nature, Sophie’s experience shines.
Judi said: “Sophie shows all her years of experience as a royal though, by standing tall and sporting a wide smile to suggest she’s having the best fun.”
According to Judi, Sophie appears confident in order to encourage Louise to feel the same.

The expert said: “This technique seems to be training and encouraging your younger royal offspring via close support while offering a parental role-model to mirror.”
While Sophie’s wide grin and confident manner give off the right impression they are far from fake.
Judi claimed Sophie seems to display great pride in her daughter.
Judi added: “But Sophie’s smiles when she is with her daughter don’t look fake or over-performed, suggesting some strong feelings of maternal pride as she inducts her into the royal firm.”
Lady Louise took her GCSEs during lockdown and is starting sixth form this autumn.
Earlier this year Sophie touched on her pride in her daughter calling her ‘clever.’
The Countess told the Sunday Times Magazine: “She’s working hard and will do A-levels.
“I hope she goes to university. I wouldn’t force her, but if she wants to. She’s quite clever.”
