‘Too tall’ model swamped by men asking to climb her – but she prefers short guys

Dive right in! Like the weather, the Daily Star’s FREE newsletter is a scorcher

A model who measures 6ft 4" in height says she is often flooded with DMs from men asking to "climb her".

Emerald Van Langen, 32, from Toronto, Canada, admits that dating was once difficult because of her height.

But the nutrition manager found love and is happily married to a man who is much shorter than her.

And in fact, the model insists that shorter guys are better lovers.

She explained: "I've been with my husband for 11 years now and he's 5ft 10" tall.

"Before we met, I didn't date much but I only dated shorter men – 6ft 2" and under when I did."

While some might assume a shorter man would be intimidated by her height, Emerald said the opposite was the case.

She added: "Taller men would always seem to be nervous about me being taller than them."

Emerald often shows off her height in photos she shares to her 6,800 followers on Instagram.

But she does get flooded with kinky messages from inappropriate men on social media.

She detailed: "Some just ask me to stand next to a door, but some want me to post kinky videos.

"Someone once messaged me saying, 'I'd climb you for a f***'."

Growing up, Emerald has hoped that she would be as tall as her older sister, who measures 6ft 3".

She continued: "I put more effort into not drinking any caffeine as I wanted to be taller than my sister and it paid off."

It was during her teens when Emerald began to notice she was growing at a much quicker rate than her pals.

She started wearing flat shoes instead of heels and preferred to be seated when having a conversation with others.

Emerald grew to 6ft 4" tall – beating her sister by a single inch – and learned to fully embrace her height.

Now it's much easier for her to go clothes shopping as she knows which stores sell longer sizes.

And Emerald is spending more time focusing on her modelling career after initially struggling to find her place in the industry.

Although models are known for their graceful heights, Emerald was told she was "too tall" at the start.

She concluded: "I love meeting new people and travelling to new places on the job. Being tall has its benefits.

"I have more storage space so I can eat more. Most importantly – no stools or ladders needed."
