Woman has hospital treatment after styling hair with Gorilla Glue

Sometimes if you run out of your favourite product you have to improvise, but it’s probably best to avoid this swap.

One woman decided to use Gorilla Glue adhesive spray, after she ran out of her setting spray.

While it did indeed set her hair, she’s now been trying to remove it for a month.

Posting on TikTok and Instagram, Tessica Brown explained that she’d washed her hair over 15 times but it didn’t move.

‘When I do my hair, I like to finish it off with a little Göt2b Glued Spray, you know, just to keep it in place,’ she explained.

‘Well, I didn’t have any more Göt2b Glued Spray, so I used this: Gorilla Glue spray. Bad, bad, bad idea. My hair, it don’t move. You hear what I’m telling you? It. Don’t. Move.’

Stiff where????? Ma hair 🤬🤬

She then showed another video of how when she adds shampoo, she can just wipe it off and nothing happens.

People flocked to the comments section to offer advice, including everything from applying tea tree oil to mayonnaise.

It don’t move I hate it here

But nothing seemed to work and she eventually headed to hospital to see if they could do anything to help.

She says shes not able to shave her head because the glue is too tight against her scalp.

Sharing an update after her visit, she said they had given her some items to try to move it but a clip of someone else trying to apply it shows Tessica crying out in pain.

She’s yet to update her followers further on what the removal process involves.

Gorilla Glue told TMZ the only solution it could suggest would be to saturate her hair in rubbing alcohol, then gently comb it out before shampooing.

The brand added that if Tessica’s hair’s been stuck for a month as she says, it’s ‘likely fractured at the root, but we certainly hope for the best.’
