Isn’t it so annoying when crumbs get caught in the toaster?

However a TikTok user has found the solution, one that many people did not even know existed, and it involves a secret compartment.

Professional cleaner Kacie posted a video of her findings to the social media site and it has since gone viral, garnering 2.2 million views.

She said: "There are cleaning hacks going around the internet that are not really hacks at all, they make it harder.

"This week I was sent one. 'Clean your toaster with a hairdryer'. Just tip it in the bin."

However, during her short video Kacie simply pulls out a tray from her toaster, where the crumbs are and readies herself to empty it.

Speaking over the video, she said: “There is something about you I need to know. When did you last clean out your toaster tray?”

Although you might already have known this, turns out lots of people didn’t.

Another brilliant TikTok cleaning hack was recently shared by a woman known online as aligrams3, who showcased how toclean a bathtub with just a grapefruitand some sugar.

All you have to do is cut a grapefruit and then "put sugar on the flesh side”.

She then showcased the piece of fruit after it has been dusted in sugar granules, no doubt to act as an exfoliant for bathroom grime.
