Billie Piper celebrates the 15-year anniversary of her Doctor Who's Rose

Billie Piper enjoyed a complete career reinvention when she joined the BBC’s Doctor Who exactly 15 years ago today.

And she hasn’t forgotten!

In fact, the actress marked the occasion by paying tribute to her iconic character on social media earlier this evening.

The star took to Instagram to reflect on her time on the show, while also saying thanks to Doctor Who writing veteran Russell T Davies.

‘In the midst of everything i forgot to say hey and yay and happy birthday,’ the star wrote, while posting a picture of the Doctor’s former assistant.

‘”Rose” and the Dr Who reboot was 15 today. Love to all you fans out there,’ she added.

‘You positively changed my life for ever and so did you @russelltdavies63 and so did you #rosetyler.’

The shout out comes as Russell shared a never-seen-before Rose-related Doctor Who video on YouTube tonight.
