CELEBS Go Dating agents were left in tears after DJ Tom Zanetti opened up about his tragic past and the death of his girlfriend.
Paul Brunson, the love guru on the Channel 4 show, opened up on the moment with The Sun, admitting: "Tom and I didn’t bond straight away, but he turned out to be one of the sweetest celebs we've ever had."
"I mean, he is so sweet, he's incredibly kind. He became like the big brother of the house that people could go to if they needed support, if they needed help," shared Paul.
"He truly cared about the wellbeing of everyone. And then last but not least is that he's gone through such a tough life.
"And that will obviously come out in the series and it's going to be emotional for everyone.
"I think it was the first time I've seen Anna [Williamson] really cry, in the agency was when Tom was talking about his past."
In 2018 Tom spoke for the first time about his girlfriend's death in a car crash in 2010, after the news that Aaron Armstrong had been found dead weeks after his girlfriend, Love Island star Sophie Gradon, died by suicide.
Lizzie Pickavance was killed in a car crash in 2010 aged just 20 and Tom said he understood how Aaron must have felt after Sophie's tragic death.
Tom's girlfriend Lizzie was returning from work in Manchester when she lost control of her car on the M62 near Gildersome and the vehicle smashed into a tree.
She died later in hospital.
The DJ had been living in Belle Isle, nears Leeds, with Lizzie at the time of the horror crash in 2010, along with their son Deaconn, who was born in 2006.
He revealed he eventually got through it and urged anyone going through a bereavement to ask for help.
Tom said: "It's really hit home and broken my heart to see what that boy was going through. I've just been reading Aaron's Instagram, the posts about what he was writing before he [passed away] and it reminded me so much of how I felt about what happened when my girlfriend died…
"I feel like it's so sad… and I wanted to put a message out…
"If you're going through something like that when you lose someone you love, who you spend all your time with, there's nothing worse…
"It gets easier and if you ask someone who's going through depression. You need to ask for help and speak to someone you love."
