Strictly Come Dancing fans saw Claudia Winkleman step into Bruce Forsyth’s shoes back in 2014 after the latter left his long-running position. The popular host was back to launch the 18th series of the BBC show this evening alongside Tess Daly and soon got fans talking after she chose to open the show in a stunning gold suit. Those watching at home soon took to social media, commenting on the look, with some comparing the loose suit to “pyjamas.”
Claudia has always been a favourite amongst fans of the BBC dance contest and is known for her bold outfit choices.
And this evening’s display was no different as the presenter stepped out in a sparkling gold suit.
And it didn’t take long for fans to comment on the outfit choice – with some jokingly comparing to pyjamas.
Taking to Twitter, one shared: “Claudia is taking lockdown very seriously. She’s still in her jimjams! #Strictly.”
Another shared: “Nice PJs, Claudia #Strictly.”
“Nice to see Claudia has come in her Pyjamas #strictly,” commented a third.
Another added: “Claudia is ready for bed in those PJs #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing.”
A fifth echoed: “Claudia is wearing some fancy pyjamas tonight #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.”

Many users on the social media site were full of compliments for the star’s stunning choice, however.

It came after Claudia had teased her outfit on her Instagram profile in view of her 547k followers earlier this week.
The host captioned the backstage snap simply: “Strictly 2020.”
She posted a photo of the launch show outfit, disguising the full look with a black and white filter.
Claudia could be seen wearing a mask, in order to follow strict backstage protocols.
And in terms of who could be lifting the Glitterball Trophy this year, EastEnders star Maisie Smith remains the current favourite.
She is currently at 2/1 odds while The Wanted star Max George is just behind at 4/1 odds, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Maisie’s attracting a lot of interest from punters and could well be the third Eastender to go all the way and win the show.”
At the other end of proceedings, it’s Bill Bailey and Jacqui Smith who appear to be the least likely to win the competition.
The pair are both lagging behind at 60/1 odds – but could they prove to be the dark horses of the series?
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 7:25pm on BBC One.
