CORONATION Street is bringing back Ken Barlow’s former lover Wendy Crozier for a dramatic new storyline.
Actress Roberta Kerr will reprise her role for the first time in more than a decade for the new storyline, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
A source said: “Wendy was run out of the cobbles by Ken ten years ago after she tried to rekindle their affair and she’s stayed away.
“But this summer she will make a comeback as a social worker involved with another street resident and end up bumping into her old flame.
“Has Wendy changed or will she want to get her claws back into Ken?”
Wendy first arrived on the cobbles in 1989 as a council source of then journalist Ken Barlow (William Roache).

His wife Deirdre exposed Wendy and she was fired – but Ken gave her a job on his newspaper, where their affair began.
Deirdre’s revenge saw Ken lose the newspaper, and later his job – with Wendy replacing him as editor.
Despite this Wendy developed a close relationship with Ken’s daughter Tracy.
But after Ken fell into a depression over the state of his life, he left Wendy and eventually reunited with Deirdre.
Wendy made a shock return to Weatherfield in 2012 after the death of her husband Christos.
She became a Governor at Bessie Street School and met up with Ken again, but he was determined to keep his distance until she convinced him they could just be friends.
However Wendy’s scheming ways saw her get Ken drunk and let him sleep on her sofa, only to then tell his wife Deirdre that they’d slept together.
Her final appearance saw Ken tell her they would never be friends over her betrayal.
But with Deirdre now dead, will Wendy want to get her claws back into her old lover?
The source added: “Deirdre might be gone, but Wendy will have to get through a furious Tracy if she wants Ken.
“Tracy’s no shrinking violet and Wendy will walk right into her crosshairs.”
