Former Strictly Come Dancing dancer Brendan Cole has opened up about his close relationship with new Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse risking 'fix' fears.
Brendan has gushed over his "great friend" Oti who has replaced John Barrowman on the judging panel after he was axed following inappropriate behaviour claims.
Oti and Brendan worked together on Strictly for two years before BBC bosses refused to renew his contract after 15 seasons.
Brendan, who started dancing in 1996, is due to make his debut on the ice this weekend where his close friend will be forced to judge him.
Oti has previously been in a similar situation by being judged by her sister, Motsi, who is on the Strictly panel.
Brendan gushed over his close relationship with the new judge.
He told The Sun: "I think Oti is going to be absolutely phenomenal. She's an incredible person on and off the dance floor.
"She has great dance experience, which will bring a lot to the show."
Brendan, 45, goes on to explain his excitement ahead of Sunday's launch show.
He continued: "You have to bring different elements, if every judge was the same it would be really boring. She's going to make an incredible judge.
"Her personality is larger than life and she's a great friend of mine.
"I'm really excited for her and likewise she's excited for me from the various conversations we've had since it's all been announced, it's exciting."
Brendan is partnered with skating pro Vanessa Bauer and has admitted she has to "calm him down" after he faced a nasty accident in rehearsals.
The 45-year-old suffered a concussion on the first day of practise, and also explained how he is working hard to ensure he doesn't go home first in the competition.
