Jake Wood has opened up about his manscaping routine – admitting that he trimmed his pubic hair to see if it made his penis look bigger.
The EastEnders actor – who plays Max Branning in the soap – lifted the lid on his nether regions on the latest instalment of his Pound For Pound podcast.
Chatting to listeners about the offerings of their new sponsor, Manscaped, he took a moment to rave about the products.
‘There is a saying, “When you prune the shrubs it makes the house look bigger”, don’t it?,’ the 48-year-old asked his co-star, Spencer Oliver.
‘That is a true saying,’ his pal agreed. ‘You walk out the shower with a little bit of swagger about you’.
Insisting that he didn’t go ‘full whack’ with the trimmer, Jake teased: ‘The best way to probably describe it is ‘Lion’s Mane’.
Side note: Our next Lion King viewing just got a little weirder…
‘[Normal shavers aren’t] made for ball hair, for a start,’ he continued. ‘Also, apparently if you shave your balls with the head shaver, you can get all infections.
‘Imagine all the bacteria f**king flying around.’
‘The game changer for me is that it’s waterproof,’ he added, before discussing his shower pamper session.
Good to know.
Jake recently broke hearts around the UK when he confirmed he would be leaving EastEnders at the end of this year.
The star has been a staple of Albert Square since 2006, but announced in September that he was officially departing Walford.
However, this may not be the last we see of the Branning favourite, as the door has been left open for a potential comeback.
‘I’ve had 15 wonderful years at ‘EastEnders’ and have made some truly great friends,’ he said of his exit.
‘I’ll of course miss everyone there but I’m grateful they have left the door open for Max and I’m excited to see what the next chapter holds.’
He also blessed us all with a sneak peek of his new project, which will be with us ‘soon’.
‘Little sneak peak of our shoot. First time I’ve ever directed and I’m loving it,’ he teased on Instagram. ‘Very exciting project. All will be revealed soon peeps.
‘Excited for you all to see what I have directed and helped create this week, all will be announced soon (sic).’
