Emmerdale Jacob Gallagher ‘set to die’ as Eric Pollard drops deadly clue

Emmerdale 's Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren Plant) could be set for serious danger as the soap revisited a past storyline during tense scenes last night.

Emmerdale spoilers have hinted that Jacob could put himself in a lot of danger amid the news that Dan Spencer had been rushed to hospital after suffering an allergic reaction.

After eating a wrap, his throat began to close up, as he went into anaphylactic shock and couldn't breath.

Eric and Brenda Walker found himself unconscious on the floor in the garage and rang for an ambulance to help him.

Thinking on his feet, Eric ran home to find an EpiPen, hoping he could use it on Dan to help him be able to breathe again.

Jacob has a serious allergy to nuts, and had the medical equipment at home in case he was ever in the same situation as Dan.

However, Eric was horrified as he discovered the EpiPen was out of date, meaning they couldn't be used.

Eric later confronted his grandson and warned him about the dangers of not having in-date treatment options.

He ranted: "He is not dead, no thanks to you.

"Your pen was out of date and therefore useless! What if that had been you? You were out by yourself and needed it – what then?

"Sort it out."

Jacob was stunned to his reaction, but will he ignore his advice and not get a new EpiPen?

The teenager had a major health scare of his own ten years ago, when his allergy was first discovered.

He was in serious danger after suffering an allergic reaction and going into shock at a party, as Leyla Harding hadn't realised he had an allergy.

Jacob promised both Eric and Leyla that he would go to the doctors in the morning to renew his prescription, but will he actually do it?

Has the soap dropped a major clue that Jacob could be set for a deadly exit?

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
