I’m A Celebrity viewers convicted they have uncovered identify of Kiosk Cledwyn

There have been many changes to this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The most obvious one being that it is being filmed in a castle in north Wales, rather than in Australia.

But another major change to the show is that we’ve had to say goodbye to the mysterious Kiosk Kev.

The celebrities now have to visit Kiosk Cledwyn for their rewards for the Castle Coin Challenge – the name for the Dingo Dollar Challenge.

The character made his reality TV debut earlier this week, replacing his Australian “cousin”.

Just like his cousin, the moustachioed character doesn’t say much – apart from the question which the celebs in camp have to answer.

This has led many I’m A Celeb fans on Twitter to try to guess Kiosk Cledwyn’s identity – and many are convinced they have uncovered who he really is.

One theory is that I’m A Celeb’s Kiosk Cledwyn is British engineer Lieutenant Colonel Dick Strawbridge.

Alongside a snap of the TV presenter, one wrote: “Kiosk Cledwyn or Dick Strawbridge? Uncanny.”

A second wrote: “Is Dick Strawbridge moonlighting as Kiosk Cledwyn?”

A third added: “Why is Dick Strawbridge manning the Kiosk Cledwyn Ye Olde Shoppe?”

Dick Strawbridge presents Escape to the Chateau on Channel 4, and has previously featured on Scrapheap Challenge as a resident engineer.

He’s also appeared as a one-off presenter on It’s Not Easy Being Green, The Hungry Sailors and Saturday Farm and Coast.

The two do look incredibly similar – but others had different theories to who Cledwyn is.

Cledwyn was also compared to Oaken from Disney’s Frozen, and Postman Pat’s friend Ted Glen.

A source told The Sun: "Obviously flying Kiosk Kev, who is played by a farmer called Mark Herlaar, to the UK was a no-go so they’ve cast Kiosk Cledwyn.

"The name is a bit of an in-joke and is a nod to Cledwyn Hughes, who was the Secretary of State for Wales in the late Sixties."

ITV is yet to reveal the real identify of Kiosk Cledwyn, but there is no doubt he’s gone down a treat.

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight on ITV at 9pm
