AFTER LEWIS CAPALDI provided JAMES ARTHUR’s latest tune you’d have thought they would be the best of friends – but fans are seeing things a different way.
Over the years former X Factor champ James has made a number of catty comments about Lewis.
And earlier this summer fans accused him of penning a diss track about the Scot, despite James saying the song wasn’t about anyone in particular.
In the freestyle tune, he sang: “Someone else is taking credit even though I’m the original. I’m the one that said it. I get it, I’m no marketing machine but can he just steal my voice and the American dream?
“Bro, you should pay homage if you want to take from me. I’m stand-ing up to a world of bullying.
“I make music I make drama. When you collect those awards be sure to mention me.”
James even blocked Lewis on Twitter after failing to get his humour.
But now it seems things are back on track and James has insisted there is no beef between the pair.
He said: “Lewis and I are cool. We chat every now and again and have always had banter back and forth. I’m excited for everyone to hear the track Lewis, Sigala and I have worked on.”
The track, Lasting Love, was written by Lewis for his smash- hit debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.
But after the song failed to make the final cut he handed it to Sigala, who enlisted James to sing on it.
Luckily they are pals, else that could have been pretty awkward. Fans won’t have to wait long to hear James’s track either, with the song set to be released on Friday.
