Kelly Clarkson boasts she once kicked down a DOOR while babysitting her ex's children and admits 'I was freaking out'

KELLY Clarkson boasted that she once kicked down a door while babysitting her ex Brandon Blackstock's children as she admitted to "freaking out."

Earlier this year, the singer filed for divorce from her ex-husband of seven years.

During an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 38-year-old confessed to guest and S.W.A.T star Shemar Moore about her memorable moment.

She said: "I need you to know that I have kicked in a door… I have kicked in a door that a contractor had to come to our house and replace the door.

"The first time was when I was with my ex and I was watching his children, and we were dating, and I got locked in my bathroom."

Shemar then asked: "Did he lock you in the bathroom?" as Kelly responded, "No he was gone!"

She added: "I was freaking out cause I was like, 'this is not happening on my watch!'

"I lierally kicked the door down in my bathroom."

The talk show host then joked: "I gotta tell you, if you can afford it try it. It felt really good…and it feels so powerful."

Brandon, 43, share two kids – daughter Savannah, 18, and son Seth, 13, from a previous relationship.

He also welcomed daughter Rose, six, and son Remington, four, during his relationship with Kelly.

The former pair parted ways after the performer filed for a divorce due to "irreconcilable differences."

Kelly also asked for joint physical and legal custody of their children.

She previously spoke about her divorce fallout, telling Willie Geist on Sunday TODAY: "I mean, it's no secret. My life has been a little bit of a dumpster … personally, it's been a little hard the last couple months.

"I've been talking to friends that have been through divorce. I don't know how people go through that without having some kind of outlet because it is the worst thing ever for everyone involved."

Aside from her marriage ending, the Grammy winner has also been dealing with a lawsuit as Brandon's father's company sued her for $1.4m as they claimed she had not yet paid the full commission this year for her work on The Voice and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The entertainer would end up slamming Narvel, claiming he and Brandon "acted as an unlicensed talent agent."

As if the year couldn't have gotten worse for Kelly, she also recently had a Covid scare after four of her staff members were exposed.
