Lucifer season five, part B is currently in post-production ahead of its highly-anticipated return to Netflix. Will Chloe and Lucifer split up as showrunner drops hint?
Fans of Lucifer were delighted when Chloe and the beloved devil finally got together in the first half of season five.
The pair had a will they or won’t they relationship since the very first episode and have gained a lot of supporters over the years.
However, this has not come without some major barriers for the pair, including Chloe finding out how Lucifer is actually the devil.
Then at the end of season four, they faced more heartbreak as Lucifer was sent back down to rule Hell, leaving Chloe behind.
Although when season five finally launched, everything lined up for the couple in episode five.
After some issues of trust and a certain evil twin, the pair finally decided to give romance a try.
But then by the end of season five, part A it seemed all was not well once more as Lucifer struggled to tell Chloe he loved her.
As this was never resolved before the finale, viewers have been slightly concerned about what the future holds for the pair.
This is why when co-showrunner Henderson appeared in a Q&A for Baltimore Comic-Con, fans asked if Lucifer and Chloe could break up.
Without heading into spoiler territory, the showrunner did tease there may be some trouble ahead for the pair.
He said: “We are the biggest Deckerstar shippers next to you guys.
“But we know the fun of it is just because a couple is together doesn’t mean there won’t be roadblocks.

“But at the same time, we respect the fact the amount of emotional investment that our fans have put into the characters is because we put them in there.
“So much of the story going forward is the story of love but the story of love is… so often it is a story of challenges.
“And I think what I love about it is that challenges make a romance feel all the more earned.
“And that’s the thing, this is a romance of the time, this is a timeless romance to me, as Tom [Ellis] always says, it’s Beauty and the Beast, it’s our take on it.
“And every single challenge that gets in the way of it earns the ultimate coming together of these two characters all the more.”
While he did suggest it will not be smooth sailing for the pair, viewers should be slightly reassured it seems like a happy ending is in the cards for the pair.
Just what will happen in the final half of season five will only be revealed though when the series returns to Netflix.
Filming has now completed on the outing but it is not yet clear when it will be released.
