Married At First Sight UK is an experiment with a twist, pairing up complete strangers in the hope they will fall in love as they meet for the first time at the altar. The E4 show has created spin-offs, including Married At First Sight Australia which went down a storm with fans earlier this year. But now it’s time to get excited all over again with the original series making a comeback.

Season six will see eight couples getting paired up and hitched without having spoken a single word to one another before the big day.

They will then go off on their honeymoon where the couples start to spend some quality time together.

But the reality soon kicks in when they return and they live together and are monitored by the show’s experts to see how they are getting on.

If you’re a fan of reality dating shows, then you are bound to recognise them.

The experts will be at hand to not only evaluate how the couples are doing but to give them advice when it is needed.

This year, Mel Schilling, who was on the Australian version of the show, will be on the panel.

She is going to be joined by Celebs Go Dating star Paul C Brunson, as well as sex and relationship therapist Charlene Douglas.

So the newlyweds will be in safe hands but are they going to regret taking part in the series in the first place once they meet their other half?

What time is the new series of Married At First Sight UK out?

Married At First Sight UK season six has started, much to fans’ delight.

The latest series premiered on Monday, August 30, at 9pm on E4.

So it should be expected that the rest of the series will also be shown at this time.

Season six is going to be made up of a total of 21 episodes.

A new episode will air from Mondays to Thursdays until the grand finale which is predicted to be shown at the end of next month.

Who are the Married At First Sight couples? [EXPLAINER]

Names and photos have been released for this series but it is not yet clear who is going to be matched with who.

E4 is most likely keeping this as a surprise for when the show does return to our screens.

A trailer did come out earlier this year, promoting the series but no clues were revealed as it featured actors instead of real contestants.

Filming started back in February and took place over the summer.

Plenty of new elements have been added to increase the intensity of the drama this season, including the dinner parties.

Like the Australian counterpart, the couples will have a chance to interact with one another at social events, but these can often lead to blazing rows between the couples and their spouses.

Commissioning editor of Factual Entertainment, Lee McMurray said: “I’m thrilled to be refreshing one of the portfolio’s most popular brands for E4, bringing extra scale and ambition to what is already one of the most audacious and provocative experiments on television, and delivering what we hope will be the most exciting series yet.”

Executive Producer for CPL Productions added: “It is so exciting to be starting afresh on a supersized version of such a pioneering and successful series.”

Married At First Sight UK premieres on Monday, August 30, at 9pm on E4.
