A new Instagram post from Power and Ozark star Joseph Sikora may have revealed a surprise cameo from one Tommy Egan could happen at some point in the new spin-off. Sikora is set to lead his own spin-off in the Starz franchise, but could he appear in the next five episodes of Book II coming up in December?
Joseph Sikora took to Instagram earlier in November with one of the breakout stars of Power Book II: Ghost, Woody McClain.
Despite his character Tommy Egan’s departure at the end of Power’s sixth season, his frequent social media posting has prompted some fans to speculate about a potential cameo.
Following the conclusion of Courtney Kemp’s thrilling crime series, Power has already been followed up by the first of four new spin-offs, Ghost.
Tommy Egan is set to helm one of the new offshoots, Book V: Force, which is expected to begin filming early next year.
However, Sikora’s direct connection to the cast of Book II may have sealed his guest appearance in one of the five upcoming episodes of Ghost’s first season, arriving throughout December.
Sikora captioned the new snap: “TWO of TOMMY?!! nah… my guy @woody_thegreat is kill’n it on POWER Book II: Ghost, as the ruthless Cane.
“Nice to talk shop and get some insight into your process. When great actors are humble, it makes my day. Keep winning brother.”
McClain’s character Cane Tejada has been instrumental in the new series as the reluctant right hand man to his queenpin mother, Monet (played by Mary J. Blige).

The fact that McClain and Sikora have been swapping acting tips during Power’s ongoing production could support the theory they’ll eventually be co-stars in the upcoming spin-offs.
Their Instagram post raised eyebrows among the more observant Power fans, with some taking to Reddit to speculate on the likelihood of Tommy’s appearance in Book II.
Redditor Epsilon2099 speculated: “Joseph Sikora keeps poppin up on social media with Woody McClain (Cane from Ghost) is a Tommy cameo imminent?”
The majority of Power is filmed on location in New York City, though it is still unconfirmed where Tommy’s new spin-off will be set after he was seen driving away at the end of Power season six.

Even so, Tommy Egan, the best friend and business partner of the now deceased James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) remains one of fans’ favourite characters throughout the series.
After developing such a devout following over Power’s six seasons, it would be a shame if viewers weren’t given some insight into Tommy’s life post Ghost’s death in the new spin-off.
Other fans weren’t so convinced, with one suggesting Sikora is simply back on set in preparation for the filming of his own spin-off.
They replied: “He literally says they start filming in January in the comments. I think it’s safe to say yes, or he could be filming Power: Force.”
While another argued: “Duh, Tommy also is named dropped in the series numerous times. He obviously is going to pop up.”
Though the Power follow-up centred on Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) features plenty of new characters, series regulars such as Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) still have prominent roles.
As the Power universe continues to expand, there’ll be plenty of opportunities for cameos galore now production is finally able to return to normal after this year’s coronavirus delays.
Power Book II: Ghost returns Sunday, December 6 on Starz and Starzplay.
