Rylan Clark-Neal claims he’ll never be content with his looks despite dramatically changing his appearance

RYLAN Clark-Neal has opened up about how he struggles with his looks and how he feels he’ll never be completely content despite dramatically changing his appearance.

The former X Factor star has carved out a hugely successful career as a TV presenter for hit shows such as Big Brother, This Morning and Supermarket Sweep.

Despite Rylan, 31, who is also set to star in a brand new show – BBC One’s You Are What You Wear – the TV personality has admitted he’s accepted he might never be fully happy with how he looks.

The former X Factor is no stranger to tweaks and the star famously spent £25,000 on veneers back in 2013 to make his teeth as white and as straight as possible.

“These teeth were the best and worst decision of my life,” he told The Daily Star.

Growing up in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, Rylan became a part-time model from the age of 16 and it was during his early modelling career that he adopted the stage name "Rylan".

Now, speaking to the Mirror, the former Big Brother host has spoken about being bullied as a child and struggling with confidence and admits he can relate to his new show’s guests, who have to face their fears in a full-length mirror.

He said: “People know how much my appearance has changed.

“I’ve always been open with the things I do, whether it’s dying my hair or having aesthetic procedures.

“I’m not saying surgery is great and Botox is fantastic and fillers are amazing, but if you are genuinely unhappy with something and you’re in a position to change it, then I don’t think people need to be vilified for that.

“When I was on The X Factor I had my lips overfilled – but that is a learning curve.

“I definitely feel more confident, but I don’t think I’ll ever be content. That’s just who I am. I’ve realised that maybe I’ll never be content and that’s all right.”
