Spoilers: Callum gets Phil put away as he wears a police wire in EastEnders?

Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay) is forced to take drastic action in EastEnders in order to get DI Steve Thompson (Phillip Wright) the evidence he wants on Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Desperate to keep Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) out of prison — after his attempt to set up Danny Hardcastle (Paul Usher) backfired — Callum has agreed to help Thompson get enough evidence on Phil in order to put him away.

The young man is evidently conflicted about such a thing, given that Ben would no doubt be less than pleased to discover what he’s up to, but nonetheless, he’s done as Thompson has asked thus far.

Matters are complicated further when Phil asks Callum to look into the family that adopted Raymond for him, as he wants something that could help his case.

Meanwhile, Ben wants his beau at Lexi’s dance recital, and Callum promises him he’ll be there — that is until Thompson calls him in again.

The young policeman is less than pleased to hear that the listening device isn’t getting Thompson what he needs, and thus the bent copper suggests that he wear a wire — something which Callum is horrified by.

Will he comply with Thompson’s request?

If so, will he get the evidence he needs in order to put Phil away?

Or will Callum ultimately decided against it?
