Spoilers: End of an era in EastEnders as Mick and Linda get set to exit

It’s been a tough few months for Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) in EastEnders as Linda’s battle with alcoholism almost destroyed her life and their family.

Since nearly dying in the boat crash, Linda has had a valuable wake up call but being surrounded by booze in the Vic has led her back to temptation despite her best efforts to stay off the drink.

This makes Mick come to realise that this is no longer the right environment for them and together, the beloved couple decide it’s time to move out of their beloved pub – it’s the end of an era!

But who will take over? Fans are speculating that either Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) or Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) could find themselves in their rightful place behind the iconic bar but that remains to be seen.

However, Mick and Linda are wasting no time in getting the ball rolling as they get an estate agent over to survey the business and give them a valuation.

But can he offer them the news that they want? And how will the rest of the family – and indeed the community as a whole – react to the Carters’ decision?

This episode airs on Monday 6 April at 8pm on BBC One.
