Emmerdale has been lacking a certain cattiness since Kim Tate (Claire King) took a hiatus from the village after being threatened by Andrea (Anna Nightingale) but she will soon be back with a bang – and for one chap in the village, that’s quite literal.
Claire had to take some time away from the show for shielding purposes but as the show continues to produce socially distanced episodes, she has been able to return and has been back with the show for some time.
Executive producer Jane Hudson said: ‘We’ve got Kim Tate back with us soon. Kim always has her eye on her next man and there is one lined up and I think that’s going to surprise people when they see where Kim goes next!
‘She is back on screen next month. We’re storylining March at the moment so she’s been back with us ages!’
Jane was of course remaining tight lipped over who Kim’s next conquest is but god help them when she gets her claws in!
Andrea had also better watch out as Kim will no doubt recall her smug toppling of her before she left.
But Andrea is holding less cards now, especially as Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) is trying to build a future with Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).
But Jane warned that there is a twist in that particular tale too!
She teased to Metro.co.uk: The Belle and Jamie saga, part one will be coming to a head very soon. There will be a twist in there and then it gets worse for Belle for quite some time. There’s a lot more to come in that story. Not all is as it seems.’
