Strictly Come Dancing contestant Clara Amfo has teased co-star Jamie Laing is the “one to watch” on this year’s show. The Made In Chelsea star was announced as a contestant in 2019 but was left with no choice but to quit after sustaining an injury during a group routine. The BBC Radio 1 presenter explained Jamie’s “determination” could take him through to the final.
Speaking to Expess.co.uk and other press, Clara was asked who she think could lift the Glitterball Trophy.
The radio DJ said: “Jamie is definitely going to be a man on a mission.
“Jamie, it’s like a great sequel isn’t it? It’s like Jamie’s revenge.
“I’m rooting for Jamie, how annoying must that have been, you’re getting ready to do the show.”

“You’ve told your friends and you’ve told your family and you’re ready to go then you break your foot. I’d be p*****d,” she continued.
“I’d be annoyed. I think Jamie on determination alone is one to watch, 100 percent.”
Last year, Jamie left Strictly 2019 after the launch show due to injury.
The reality star was announced as one of the 15 celebrity contestants and took part in the glitzy Strictly launch.
However, disaster struck in rehearsals soon after Jamie discovered who his professional partner would be.
The Made In Chelsea star was partnered with Oti Mabuse but had to pull out after landing awkwardly during a routing involving all 15 celebrity contestants.
Kelvin Fletcher stepped in to dance with Oti and the pair were subsequently crowned Strictly champions.
Jamie addressed his return to Strictly and vowed he would be “careful” to make sure he makes it to the dance floor.

The reality star said: “Everyone was like ‘What, again? That guy?!’
“Everyone has been super supportive, my mum is over the moon and she’s so excited.
“It’s been a pretty crazy year for everyone so hopefully it’s going to be the most epic kind of escape for everyone.
“But I think pretty much everyone that I know is really excited about it!”
The Made In Chelsea star added: “If I get injured again it would look like I bottled it!
“So I really have to be careful. I’m not worried, I feel like I’m pretty fit and healthy.
“If something happens then the Strictly curse isn’t about me sleeping with someone else, it’s definitely about my foot!”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on Saturday 17th.
