Strictly fans outraged as Maisie Smith lands in the bottom two AGAIN before Caroline Quentin is sent home

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have been left outraged as Maisie Smith landed in the bottom two AGAIN tonight before Caroline Quentin was sent home.

The EastEnders actress had found herself in the dance off against Max George last week but was saved by judges Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.

But despite coming joint second on the leaderboard this week after impressing the judges with her Salsa, Maisie and pro-partner Gorka Marquez found themselves in the bottom two once again on tonight's results show.

This time she faced fellow actress Caroline and her partner Johannes Radebe in the dance off, who performed their Cha Cha once more.

Once both couples had danced again, the judges chose to save Maisie, 19, and Gorka.

Craig Revel Horwood said: "I absolutely love both couples, but for me one couple was outstanding and danced as though their lives depended on it and that couple I would like to save, Maisie and Gorka."

Anton Du Beke also chose to save Maisie and Gorka, saying: "Well I thought both couples danced beautifully. I think they are beautiful couples danced fabulous routines.

"One couple was a bit cleaner than the other couple, there was a couple of mistakes in there. So the couple I would like to save are Maisie and Gorka.”

When asked by host Tess Daly if she has fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a dancer on the show Caroline said: “Yeah in a way slightly more than that because I have had the honour and privilege of working with some of the greatest dancers this country has ever known.

"I mean I really believe it, I think they are absolutely fantastic. But of course my greatest gift coming on this show is this man.”

When asked if he had any words for Caroline, Johannes said: “Oh my gosh, what a woman, thank you, thank you again, thank you, thank you, thank you.

"I don’t know what to say, because it was a beautiful one, I had a beautiful journey with you, thank you my darling, thank you.”

While many viewers were sad to see Caroline go, others were outraged that Maisie had been in the bottom two again despite her high score on Saturday night.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Maisie and Gorka in the dance off again and I am f***ing LIVID."

Another added: "Oh FFS I knew this was going to happen and I’m still furious. Poor Maisie and Gorka. I voted for her, Bill and Clara."

A third tweeted: "nah I’m actually very annoyed right now. there is something wrong with you jealous people. seek help. Immediately."
