Susanna Reid admits she's been 'overdoing the comfort eating' after besotted fan calls her sexy

SUSANNA Reid joked she's been 'overdoing comfort eating' after fan called her 'sexy' on social media.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 49, made the confession on Twitter yesterday after receiving the compliment online.

Responding to the tweet, which read: "you're sexy", Susanna hilariously responded: "I’m rather overdoing the comfort eating tbf.".

In response to her funny admission, the broadcaster was inundated with people telling her how incredible she looked.

One fan wrote: "You carry on. imo you’re looking much better for it" (sic).

"Susanna, dont worry yourself there, as long as you are enjoying what your eating," another admirer penned. "Your still a very sexy women with a gorgeous curvy figure Susanna.

"I myself will be having a curry this Saturday evening, which im so looking forward to" (sic).

A third joked: "What ever you’re doing it’s working apparently" alongside a cry face emoji.

Susanna has had a jam-packed week covering the US Presidential election alongside her GMB co-host Piers Morgan, who poked fun at her online earlier this week.

The ITV presenter shared a throwback clip of them broadcasting live from New York during the 2016 US Presidential election.

The 55-year-old took to Instagram last night to cheekily take aim at Susanna's 'sucking lemons' face when he announced Donald Trump winning the election in 2016.

In the clip, the broadcaster is seen speaking to camera as the Big Apple's skyline twinkled in the background and Susanna, 49, hilariously pulled faces while he confirmed Trump was voted into the Oval office.

However, the hilarity didn't end there as the clip then began zoning in on the presenter's facial expressions as the theme tune to beloved US comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm played.

Captioning the video, Piers penned: "#tbt New York, 2016 – the moment when I announced live on @gmb that Donald Trump had become President of the United States…

"and Susanna promptly ate 100 lemons. 🤣🤣".

Equally seeing the funny side of the video, Susanna had shared the same clip earlier in the day and wrote: "FOUR YEARS AGO! #CurbYourEnthusiasm".

Previously Piers and Susanna had hoped to return to the US to cover the election for Good Morning Britain.

However, the on-screen duo and the GMB team were forced to cancel scheduled plans amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

With England back in lockdown, Susanna was previously forced to isolate in March during lockdown as someone in her household displayed symptoms of the virus.

The journalist recently opened up about suffering from Covid nightmares that left her "screaming and crying" at the start of the pandemic.

The telly favourite felt like she couldn't escape the killer virus due to reporting on it every day.

She said having to speak about it every day was "very frightening" and attempted different ways to cope with the stress.

During a chat with The Telegraphs’ Stella Magazine, Susanna explained: "It was an anxious time for everybody, but those early days were very frightening.

"I started to have really vivid, terrifying nightmares where I would wake up screaming and crying even though I couldn’t quite remember what the nightmares were."
