The Chase viewers were not happy as a contestant took the low offer even though her team advised against it.
However, chaser Shaun Wallace agreed with her decision to take his offer of £1,000.
The player named Hannah made £3,000 in her cash-builder, and her teammate Carl told her: "Don't go for the £1,000, and definitely don't go for the £30,000."
She opted for the low offer, telling host Bradley Walsh: "I think I'm going to go for the £1k so I get some cash in the bank and make it back for the final chase."
Fans were raging, as one tweeted: "Low offer w***er."
While another fumed: "Went low and couldn't even get back. How embarrassing is that?"
However, chaser Shaun Wallace agreed with Hannah, saying: "I think that's sensible."
Unfortunately Hannah was caught by Shaun, known as The Dark Destroyer, despite taking the lowest offer.
Two players, Mike and Carl, made it into the final chase.
Viewers were gobsmacked as they realised Mike looked just like Little Britain star Matt Lucas.
One said: "Contestant on #TheChase just now looks like @RealMattLucas in a cunning disguise."
While another wrote: "@RealMattLucas with a beard on #TheChase."
A third penned: "Matt Lucas with a beard. #TheChase."
"Matt Lucas and Frankie Boyle's love child! #TheChase", typed a fourth viewer.
The Matt Lucas lookalike impressed host Bradley Walsh and chaser Shaun Walsh with his knowledge.
Shaun remarked: "Well played Mike, well played mate."
