Ben Shephard was revealed to be Mary Taylor's object of desire in Friday night's instalment of Coronation Street.
Weatherfield's favourite comedienne revealed to Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton) that Ben, 45, was the object of her desire.
Mary (Patti Clare) told Sean she'd long harboured a crush on the Good Morning Britain hunk and showed Sean her very unique piece of Ben Shephard memorabilia.
Sean was left open-mouthed when Mary unfurled a blanket, which was covered in photos of Ben's face.
In a completely selfless gesture, Mary handed the blanket over to unlucky-in-love Sean.
Comforting her pal, she said: "I wanted to feel what it would be like to wrapped in his arms but I think your need is greater.
"Take him, take my Ben."
She continued: "I haven't had a cuddle from a handsome man for many many a moon and I thought what could be more reassuring than to be wrapped in the arms of the always smiling, ever kind Ben Shephard."
Noticing Sean’s hesitancy to take him, she added: "You make it sound tacky, my love for Ben is pure.
"Hence why I'll never appear on Tipping Point.
"The good Shephard and I have such a good connection, I mean we're talking bolts of lightning."
Hilariously, Ben replied to the official Coronation Street Twitter's page post, which featured a photo of Mary holding the blanket in the episode.
The beloved TV host retweeted the snap and joked: "The blanket is def better than the real thing."
Ben's fans flocked to the comments section to share their amusement over the Corrie scene.
One social networker remarked: "Fan bl**dy tastic."
While another continued: "Oh Ben I was cracking up at this last night how funny , she can’t come on tipping point cos of the attraction you two have – was so funny."
Corrie's Anthony Cotton commented: "We’ve spoken about My Ben, Ben Shephard, Benny Boy, and plain and simple 'Ben' for weeks now…"
