There’s nothing quite like sitting down to watch EastEnders in the evening.
The BBC One soap is unmissable right now, especially after several incredible outings over the festive period.
The latest episode left viewers on a rather big ‘Doof Doof’ cliffhanger, as Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) revealed to wife Linda (Kellie Bright) that he was abused by carer Katy Lewis (Simone Lahbib) when he was 12.
Viewers have been desperate to see what happens next, but — if like the rest of the nation — you’re excited for the next instalment, then you might notice it’s not in its usual time-slot.
When is EastEnders on tonight?
EastEnders is currently due to air at 8:35pm on BBC One.
The episode will see Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) turning against on Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) as her worry for Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) worsens.
Meanwhile, Callum Highway’s (Tony Clay) luck is running out, as Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) delivers some bad news.
Is Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) finally about to discover the truth?
Why is it not on at 8pm?
EastEnders was due to air its next instalment this evening at 8:05pm on BBC One. However, with Boris Johnson set to address the nation at 8pm, the advertised episode was pushed to 8.35pm
The prime minister is set to outline tougher coronavirus restrictions for England this evening.
He will make a televised address to outline how the huge spike in coronavirus cases will be tackled, Downing Street has confirmed.
A No 10 spokesperson said: ‘The spread of the new variant of Covid-19 has led to rapidly escalating case numbers across the country.
‘The prime minister is clear that further steps must now be taken to arrest this rise and to protect the NHS and save lives.
‘He will set those out this evening.’
