The audition stages of Britain’s Got Talent 2020 wrapped up last weekend (Saturday, May 30) on ITV. So, why isn’t Britain’s Got Talent on tonight as originally planned? has everything you need to know.

Why isn’t Britain’s Got Talent?

For the first time in 14 years, Britain’s Got Talent live final will not go ahead as planned.

Usually, after eight weeks of audition stages, the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals are head in front of a live studio audience.

The finalists perform live on stage and the audience at home vote for the act they want to see in the final, which is held at the end of six live semi-final shows.

The act that received the highest amount of votes from the public is sent straight through to Sunday’s live final.

The judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon – will then have to decide between the next two acts who received the highest number of votes, sending only one through to the final.

Britain’s Got Talent fans would have noticed that the live semi-finals did not go ahead this week and as a result, there is no semi-final tonight (Saturday, June 6) or final tomorrow (Sunday, June 7).

The reason Britain’s Got Talent is not on this week is because the live shows were postponed as a result of the current coronavirus pandemic.

ITV announced in April that the live show’s had been postponed in a statement which read: “We have been working with the brilliant production teams at Thames and Syco to find a way of making the live finals work, which were due to be broadcast at the end of May.

“However, in light of the latest government health guidelines and in line with our priority of safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved in our programmes, production of the live shows cannot go ahead as planned.”

When will Britain’s Got Talent 2020 return?

Unfortunately, a return date for Britain’s Got Talent 2020 has not been confirmed by ITV.

However, there is some good news for fans of the long-running talent series.

Judge Amanda Holden revealed that the judges had been given a provisional return date of Autumn 2020.

Speaking to HuffPost UK, Amanda said: “ “All of the judges have been given a date to hold in early autumn to see if it works live.

“We would never do it without an audience because we’ve always said the British public is the fifth judge. It would be no fun without them!”

“We’ll see what happens, but we are planning to do it this year.”

She added: “Simon has fought very hard for it to be on now, in its normal slot, and it celebrates Britain at its best.

“All our eccentricities, our nuttiness, and being able to laugh at ourselves is how we get through everything – we’ve got to still find the light in the dark.”

Who is through to Britain’s Got Talent 2020 live shows?

The full line up of Britain’s Got Talent 2020 finalists have not been revealed by ITV.

Only the five golden buzzer acts have been confirmed for the live shows.

Stacey Solomon opens up about Joe Swash’s struggles: ‘Could sense something wasn’t right’

While Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon, 30, and Dancing On Ice winner Joe Swash reportedly first started dating in 2016, the ITV favourite has reflected on the time they first met, and how she thought he was a “closed book”. Stacey and Joe welcomed their first child, Rex, together last year.

He is a closed book.

Stacey Solomon

During an interview on Loose Women on Friday, Joe discussed how before he knew Stacey, he used to “hold a lot in” when it came to talking about his mental health.

The former EastEnders star divulged: “I’m not really the best person because I don’t talk a lot myself, I hold a lot in.

“I could take a leaf out of that book and try and open up a little bit,” he continued.

“I think it’s difficult sometimes for certain people.”

  • Carol Vorderman breaks down in tears after being ‘harassed’

Joe went on to discuss how he now feels he can talk to Stacey and their “tight-knit” family about anything.

The actor shared: “I’m so lucky, I’ve got Stacey, I’ve got a tight-knit family.

“I know if I need to talk about anything, they’re all there for me and I think, for me, that’s the most important thing.”

Joe added: “But yeah, I think I need to work on that on myself – be a little bit more open and talk openly. Stacey will tell you the same as well.”

Stacey, who reportedly met Joe the year she won I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here replied: “You have got better since I met you.

“Definitely at the start of the relationship, I remember thinking, ‘He is a closed book’, even though I could sense something wasn’t right, I just never knew what it was.”

While the pair were speaking out, Loose Women Nadia Sawalha then asked Stacey how she has helped Joe open up more.

In response to Nadia’s question, the X Factor star explained: “I don’t think I did anything to help… you grow and we’ve got four boys, they’re getting older and they need someone to talk to.

“They’re needing another male to talk to, but the way you deal with things emotionally has changed with the boys,” she continued.

Joe also stated how having kids has meant he has had to be a lot more open with his feelings and admitted it has been “really healthy” for his wellbeing as a result.

This comes after Stacey and Joe, who live together with their one-year-old son Rex and Stacey’s sons Zachary, 12 and Leighton, eight, had to leave their home to be “corona safe” ahead of filming their appearance for Channel 4’s Celebrity Gogglebox.

Last week, the singer shared her morning routine on her Instagram story but revealed they had to “get out of the house”.

  • Eamonn Holmes RAGES at ‘cruel’ Celebrity Gogglebox edit

Stacey wrote on Sunday: “Sunday morning montage is a bit different today.

“Got to get ready before the person sets up for Gogglebox and we have to be out of the house so they can be corona safe, so there’s a lot of my boat race in this one, sorry.”

The pair will appear on the celebrity version alongside the likes of Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw, Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra, and Love Island favourites Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling.

Celebrity Gogglebox returns on Friday on Channel 4 at 9pm.

Chuckle Brothers star Paul Chuckle takes aim at Boris Johnson’s speech: ‘Ridiculous’

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

The Chuckle Brothers star Paul [Elliott] Chuckle, 72, has spoken out about Boris Johnson’s speech about the Government’s plan to ease coronavirus lockdown restrictions in England. During the Prime Minister’s address to the nation, which was broadcasted last month, he told the public that, while people should continue to stay at home as much as possible, construction workers should return to work.

He also added that people were free to spend time outdoors in parks as long as they were accompanied by members of their household.

However, some viewers found Johnson’s speech confusing and in an exclusive interview with about his online quiz to raise money for Marie Curie, Paul branded it “ridiculous”.

He said: “We were sat watching it like everyone else and at the end of it we just said, ‘Well he’s not told us anything at all, absolutely nothing’.”

The Real Marigold Hotel star then referenced former Little Britain comedian Matt Lucas’ hilarious parody of the Prime Minister’s speech after it was deemed to be an unclear message by some citizens.

Paul continued: “I can understand people taking it like Matt Lucas, which was very funny, ‘Go out, but if you can’t go out stay in and all that’.

“And I understood what he was talking about saying, ‘If you can work from home, stay at home and work from home, if you can’t then go back to work’.

“Which sounds ridiculous, you can go to work, but don’t go to work if you can stay at home. I think what they meant was workers like people at building sites and things like that, they can’t work from home, they’ve got to go to work, but if you don’t have to, then stay at home and work from home.”

Paul went on to claim that the way Johnson articulated his message was the reason why people were left feeling confused.

He added: “But he went round the houses and the way he was saying it sounded ridiculous, ‘Go to work if you can, but if you can’t stay at home and if you can work from home, stay at home and don’t go to work’.

“It’s ridiculous. Mind you, that’s Boris Johnson isn’t it?

“He’s always been the same hasn’t he in all his speeches? You say, ‘What is he on about?’”

The Prime Minister has since announced that groups of up to six people can now meet outdoors in England while maintaining a two-metre distance.

Elsewhere, The Chuckle Brothers legend opened up about suffering from coronavirus symptoms himself.

The ChuckleVision star admitted his other half Sue “didn’t know whether he was going to live or die” when he suffered from a high temperature.

He recalled: “That was very worrying, the wife didn’t know whether I was going to live or die.

“I just had the high temperature, which wasn’t pleasant at all. I lost all my taste buds and I had no appetite whatsoever.

“I had a temperature up to 38.4/38.5 and she kept calling 111 and checking again.”

  • Carol Kirkwood: BBC Breakfast star issues warning amid new show move

Paul revealed he was diagnosed with COVID-19 by a nurse over the phone after Sue called NHS 111 on his behalf.

Fortunately, Paul managed to recover from the deadly virus over a period of 10 days by taking paracetamol, which was advised by the nurse.

He continued: “But it didn’t, I just carried on taking paracetamols like she told me and 10 days later that was it.”

Paul went on to describe the symptoms he suffered from as “horrible”.

He admitted: “Anybody who gets it will know the difference between a cold and this thing, it’s a horrible thing.”

Coronation Street spoilers: Yasmeen Nazir takes down Geoff Metcalfe after Alya bombshell

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

Coronation Street’s Yasmeen Nazir (played by Shelley King) is currently behind bars awaiting trial for her attack on manipulative husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew). While the Speed Daal chef keeps her silence, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) has been determined to prove her grandmother’s innocence and may have finally got through to her after dropping a devastating revelation about her abusive husband.

Geoff had been emotionally tormenting Yasmeen for months before the Speed Daal chef finally snapped when her husband threatened to kill her.

Up until the attack, Alya was the only one who realised what Geoff was capable of but she’s on a mission to convince Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) of Yasmeen’s innocence.

In tonight’s instalment, Sally was horrified when Geoff admitted to using escorts before apologising to Alya for not keeping this information to herself.

Alya discussed her grandmother’s case with Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) and realised she had to use her prison visit to convince Yasmeen to plead not guilty.

After discovering another way Geoff abused his wife, Alya said: “Chlamydia? Gran that is the worst thing I have ever heard in my life, he contracted an STI from a call girl and passed it on to you.”

“Will you keep your voice down,” Yasmeen pleaded while Alya let her outrage get the better of her.

“And you’re still going to let him win?” Alya asked and Yasmeen said: “I will not mention those women in court. I’m sorry Ayla but there’s a line and I won’t cross it.”

“What line? What are you talking about?” Alya asked. “It’s his reputation you’ll be dragging through the mud, not yours.

“It doesn’t feel that way, so what’s it going to take to make you realise. It’s him that needs to be in here not you.”

“This is a women’s prison,” the Speed Daal chef joked but Alya wasn’t impressed.

“Is that a joke?” she asked and Yasmeen replied: “An attempt at one yes.”

“I can’t believe this is happening, I can’t believe this is real,” Alya remarked.

“Neither can I but I would rather be in here than have that come out in court,” Yasmeen explained.

“Gran you cannot sacrifice your freedom over this, look of course it’s going to be difficult and shameful but it wasn’t your fault he drove you to this,” Alya said.

“You can’t spend 15 years in here just because you don’t want a room full of strangers to find out your husband gave you chlamydia.

“Look he was a bully and a liar, he emotionally abused you. Tell the courts shout it from the rooftops but do not let him get away with this.

“Because do you know what if you do he’ll just find someone else and it will happen all over again. This is your last chance, you’re not guilty, tell the truth.”

Yasmeen has kept her silence up until this point as she feels ashamed about her marriage but she may want to stop any other woman falling victim to Geoff.

Has Alya finally got through to her grandmother or will Yasmeen plead guilty and let Geoff get away with the abuse?

Rick and Morty released the final episode of season four on Sunday, May 31, on Adult Swim and then a few days later on Channel 4’s E4 in the UK. While fans were excited for the finale to be aired, this means there are no new episodes being shown every week. So the next question on everyone’s minds is when will season five start?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Rick and Morty season 4.

Rick and Morty always leaves fans asking plenty of questions after most of its episodes.

One which has been puzzling viewers since season three has been over whether or not Beth is a clone.

In season three’s The ABC’s of Beth, Rick gave his daughter the option to clone herself so she could go off and have adventures in space while the clone took care of the family back home.

Her decision was left unknown until the season four finale where things were made a bit clearer about what happened.

  • Rick and Morty: Season 4 finale teases Pickle Rick sequel

Beth does, in fact, have a clone so there is now a Space Beth who leads a rebellious gang somewhere in the multiverse.

However, Rick told both of the Beths she was the real one and this is because he wasn’t sure which of them was his real daughter.

He made himself forget what happened but when he retrieved the memory to find out the truth for himself, he was shocked.

Rick had swapped the identities of Beth and her clone so he would never find out who his real daughter was.

The finale ended with Rick coming to the realisation that he is actually a bad father.

When does Rick and Morty season 5 start?

In 2018, Rick and Morty was given the green light to create 70 more episodes by Adult Swim.

After the end of season four, this means there are still another 60 new episodes of Rick and Morty to come.

This is good news as this means there will at least be 10 series in total of the sci-fi comedy if the creators stick to the 10-episode per season format that they have done so far.

Co-creator Justin Roiland has also spoken out about how the large renewal means the upcoming season will be quicker to be released.

  • Rick and Morty characters: Is Beth Smith a clone?

Speaking to Polygon, Roiland said: “We want the episodes to stay good, but we do also want to try to turn them around a little quicker now that we have this big order, I think it gives us the ability to be faster.

“We’re not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in-between seasons anymore.

“We’re going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going.

“It’s going to be really cool.”

Rick and Morty is available to watch on Adult Swim.

John Boyega’s Anti-Racist Protest Speech Was Simply Masterful

Since May 25, protests over the death of George Floyd have gone countrywide. By June, protests were happening in all 50 states of the union. But racial injustice isn’t a problem confined to America’s shores. It’s an issue across the Western world, and it wasn’t long before countries from Canada to France were marching in the streets as a sign of solidarity that Black Lives Matter everywhere. In London, there was a massive demonstration in front of Parliament, and actor John Boyega’s anti-racist protest speech made headlines.

Boyega rose to fame in the United States for his role in the final Star Wars trilogy. His role as a Stormtrooper who finds himself by joining the Resistance was hailed as revolutionary. But certain racist parts of the fandom attempted to boycott the film over his presence. Boyega has been upfront in speaking out against racists, and in recent weeks has posted about the death of Floyd on social media.

His fans weren’t surprised to see him join in the demonstrations in London. However, no one expected how fiery his speech would be or how much Hollywood would stand up following his impassioned pleas.

Here’s his speech in full.

Around the 3:30 mark, Boyega admits he is deeply aware speaking out could harm his career: "I don’t know if I’m going to have a career after this but, f*ck that."

It wasn’t long before directors like Jordan Peele, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Matthew Cherry were stepping forward, with promises they would not let that happen.

Boyega’s fellow Star Wars colleagues also tweeted their support.

The official Star Wars account also posted his speech in full.

Star Wars fans hope that Boyega’s words will encourage the franchise to hire more diverse voices. Though the final Star Wars trilogy was praised for its diversity in front of the cameras, behind the scenes, critics have pointed out that the franchise is still run mainly by white creatives. With the franchise branching out from the Skywalker Saga on the big screen starting in 2022, and live-action Star Wars shows like The Mandalorian a hit for Disney+, this is a perfect opportunity for Lucasfilm to put hiring actions to its words. The future of the galaxy deserves it.

Queen of the South season four ended with the return of a major character to the USA Network crime series. The cliffhanger has left viewers desperate to know whether the show will be back with another season on Netflix. Here’s everything which has been revealed so far about the future of the show.

Will there be another series of Queen of the South?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Queen of the South season 4.

Season four of Queen of the South was released on Netflix last week for fans in the UK to watch the latest episodes of the crime drama.

The new outing followed Teresa Mendoza (played by Alice Braga) as she headed to New Orleans to strengthen her cartel.

The season culminated in a dramatic finale episode, which saw Javier Jimenez (Alfonso Herrera) killed by Judge Lafayette (David Andrews).

Then in a dramatic cliffhanger, James (Peter Gadiot) returned after turning up at a warehouse with a severe abdomen wound.

  • Queen of the South season 4 ending explained: What happened?

When he was embraced by his ex-girlfriend Teresa, he warned “they were coming” before the series ended.

The finale left many fans desperate to know whether the series would be returning with another outing soon.

There’s good news for viewers of the show as Queen of the South has been renewed for a fifth season.

The announcement came from the USA Network back in August 2019 after it aired originally on the channel.

When will Queen of the South season 5 be released?

So far, every season of the show has been released in June in the US before landing on Netflix months later.

However, the latest series is set to be delayed after filming was shut down back in March.

This was because the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19 shut down production on the show.

Therefore, it is unclear when the series will be returning to screens as filming has not yet resumed.

“However, we promise you won’t be disappointed with what we have in store for you. #queenofthesouth.”

In the short clip Teresa is heard being warned about the Russians and the threat they will pose.

She also says: “If I do this now where will it end. You don’t know what I’m capable of.”

The ITV favourite discussed the challenges of being a working mother and admitted she is often “riddled with guilt” after missing her childrens’ first days of school as she presented This Morning.

The small-screen star admitted it was always her dream to become a mum but she never had imagined being a “working mum”.

Speaking in a candid interview with Red magazine, Holly opened up about her “biggest challenge”.

She explained: “Becoming a mum was the only thing I knew I definitely wanted when I was growing up, but the image I had never involved me being a working mum. That’s the biggest challenge.

“I’ve been riddled with guilt about getting that part wrong. You love them so much and you don’t want to mess them up.”

Holly revealed that she missed her two eldest children’s first days of school due to her busy work schedule.

She said: “I didn’t do the drop-off because I was working. I hate that I wasn’t there because those memories you can’t get back.

“But I’ve realised the only way I can combat those feelings is to accept that sometimes I don’t get it right. And I’m lucky I can be there every day to pick them up and on weekends.”

Holly was fortunate to be able to attend her youngest son Chester’s first day of school.

Taking to social media thanked her bosses for “moving heaven and Earth” to make it happen.

Holly said at the time she was “full of a host of emotions watching him walk through the classroom door”.

Elsewhere, Holly has previously opened up about whether she would have more children in the future.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Holly admitted she “loves being pregnant” and “felt empowered”.

When quizzed about whether she and husband Dan Baldwin want to add to their brood, she said: “I don’t think so. I mean, I really don’t think so.

“But it’s like the wedding dress thing – you just don’t want that stage of your life to be over.”

Holly added: “I loved being pregnant. I loved giving birth.

“I would give birth again tomorrow as it’s just the most amazing, empowering, life-changing thing.”

Holly had previously admitted to Fabulous Magazine that she too had a twinge of broodiness when her youngest, Chester, was potty-trained.

She said: “It was a big moment, and you just don’t want those to be over.

“So it made me think, ‘Should we maybe?’ But that’s life, isn’t it?”

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
