The audition stages of Britain’s Got Talent 2020 wrapped up last weekend (Saturday, May 30) on ITV. So, why isn’t Britain’s Got Talent on tonight as originally planned? has everything you need to know.

Why isn’t Britain’s Got Talent?

For the first time in 14 years, Britain’s Got Talent live final will not go ahead as planned.

Usually, after eight weeks of audition stages, the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals are head in front of a live studio audience.

The finalists perform live on stage and the audience at home vote for the act they want to see in the final, which is held at the end of six live semi-final shows.

The act that received the highest amount of votes from the public is sent straight through to Sunday’s live final.

The judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon – will then have to decide between the next two acts who received the highest number of votes, sending only one through to the final.

Britain’s Got Talent fans would have noticed that the live semi-finals did not go ahead this week and as a result, there is no semi-final tonight (Saturday, June 6) or final tomorrow (Sunday, June 7).

The reason Britain’s Got Talent is not on this week is because the live shows were postponed as a result of the current coronavirus pandemic.

ITV announced in April that the live show’s had been postponed in a statement which read: “We have been working with the brilliant production teams at Thames and Syco to find a way of making the live finals work, which were due to be broadcast at the end of May.

“However, in light of the latest government health guidelines and in line with our priority of safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved in our programmes, production of the live shows cannot go ahead as planned.”

When will Britain’s Got Talent 2020 return?

Unfortunately, a return date for Britain’s Got Talent 2020 has not been confirmed by ITV.

However, there is some good news for fans of the long-running talent series.

Judge Amanda Holden revealed that the judges had been given a provisional return date of Autumn 2020.

Speaking to HuffPost UK, Amanda said: “ “All of the judges have been given a date to hold in early autumn to see if it works live.

“We would never do it without an audience because we’ve always said the British public is the fifth judge. It would be no fun without them!”

“We’ll see what happens, but we are planning to do it this year.”

She added: “Simon has fought very hard for it to be on now, in its normal slot, and it celebrates Britain at its best.

“All our eccentricities, our nuttiness, and being able to laugh at ourselves is how we get through everything – we’ve got to still find the light in the dark.”

Who is through to Britain’s Got Talent 2020 live shows?

The full line up of Britain’s Got Talent 2020 finalists have not been revealed by ITV.

Only the five golden buzzer acts have been confirmed for the live shows.

Rick and Morty season 5 release date: When does Rick and Morty season 5 start?

We will use your email address only for sending you newsletters. Please see our Privacy Notice for details of your data protection rights.

Rick and Morty released the final episode of season four on Sunday, May 31, on Adult Swim and then a few days later on Channel 4’s E4 in the UK. While fans were excited for the finale to be aired, this means there are no new episodes being shown every week. So the next question on everyone’s minds is when will season five start?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Rick and Morty season 4.

Rick and Morty always leaves fans asking plenty of questions after most of its episodes.

One which has been puzzling viewers since season three has been over whether or not Beth is a clone.

In season three’s The ABC’s of Beth, Rick gave his daughter the option to clone herself so she could go off and have adventures in space while the clone took care of the family back home.

Her decision was left unknown until the season four finale where things were made a bit clearer about what happened.

  • Rick and Morty: Season 4 finale teases Pickle Rick sequel

Beth does, in fact, have a clone so there is now a Space Beth who leads a rebellious gang somewhere in the multiverse.

However, Rick told both of the Beths she was the real one and this is because he wasn’t sure which of them was his real daughter.

He made himself forget what happened but when he retrieved the memory to find out the truth for himself, he was shocked.

Rick had swapped the identities of Beth and her clone so he would never find out who his real daughter was.

The finale ended with Rick coming to the realisation that he is actually a bad father.

When does Rick and Morty season 5 start?

Fans had to wait two years between seasons three and four so many are now eager to find out if the gap will be just as long for season five.

So far, a release date for series five of Rick and Morty has not been revealed. will update this article when there is more information on the release date.

Despite there not being a set date just yet, the creators of the show have stated the wait will not be as long as last time.

In 2018, Rick and Morty was given the green light to create 70 more episodes by Adult Swim.

After the end of season four, this means there are still another 60 new episodes of Rick and Morty to come.

This is good news as this means there will at least be 10 series in total of the sci-fi comedy if the creators stick to the 10-episode per season format that they have done so far.

Co-creator Justin Roiland has also spoken out about how the large renewal means the upcoming season will be quicker to be released.

  • Rick and Morty characters: Is Beth Smith a clone?

Speaking to Polygon, Roiland said: “We want the episodes to stay good, but we do also want to try to turn them around a little quicker now that we have this big order, I think it gives us the ability to be faster.

“We’re not going to do these long breaks, these chasms in-between seasons anymore.

“We’re going to schedule vacation time and just keep the machine going.

“It’s going to be really cool.”

Rick and Morty is available to watch on Adult Swim.

Dr Hilary Jones urged Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway to call 999 after a phone consultation with her husband Derek Draper sparked fears over his deteriorating health. Dr Hilary discussed his conversation with the GMB host after Garraway shared a heartbreaking account of her experience during her husband’s illness.

Dr Hilary said: “He had been deteriorating, his symptoms weren’t typical of any means and Kate was worried, so of course she called a colleague at work.

“I’m very very happy to help in those situations, as I have in the past with other people. That’s what I do.

“I spoke to Kate and she was concerned about whether she should call an ambulance.

“I said, ‘Is it possible to speak to Derek?’ I spoke to Derek and I was quite concerned, just the way he was speaking and his breathlessness.”

Will there be another series of Queen of the South?

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Queen of the South season 4.

Season four of Queen of the South was released on Netflix last week for fans in the UK to watch the latest episodes of the crime drama.

The new outing followed Teresa Mendoza (played by Alice Braga) as she headed to New Orleans to strengthen her cartel.

The season culminated in a dramatic finale episode, which saw Javier Jimenez (Alfonso Herrera) killed by Judge Lafayette (David Andrews).

Then in a dramatic cliffhanger, James (Peter Gadiot) returned after turning up at a warehouse with a severe abdomen wound.

  • Queen of the South season 4 ending explained: What happened?

When he was embraced by his ex-girlfriend Teresa, he warned “they were coming” before the series ended.

The finale left many fans desperate to know whether the series would be returning with another outing soon.

There’s good news for viewers of the show as Queen of the South has been renewed for a fifth season.

The announcement came from the USA Network back in August 2019 after it aired originally on the channel.

When will Queen of the South season 5 be released?

So far, every season of the show has been released in June in the US before landing on Netflix months later.

However, the latest series is set to be delayed after filming was shut down back in March.

This was because the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19 shut down production on the show.

Therefore, it is unclear when the series will be returning to screens as filming has not yet resumed.

In the short clip Teresa is heard being warned about the Russians and the threat they will pose.

Instagram link: How to add a link to an Instagram story

Instagram surged to the headlines yesterday during #BlackoutTuesday when millions of people posted black squares in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. The process sought to continue to light the spark of activism through the international community, and as other people take up the cause via the internet and their phones, they may need direction on how to do so.

How to add a link to an Instagram stories

Instagram stories operate almost as disposable posts which pass with a flicker, giving people limited time to view content.

While short-lived, they allow people to share a series of posts, which collect useful links.

Thankfully for those just getting to grips with the platform, adding a link to a story is a simple process.

  • Lewis Hamilton’s ‘sadness’ as he addresses Black Lives Matter
  1. Click on the Instagram Stories icon in the top left corner of the homepage
  2. Personalise the post with text, stickers or a filter
  3. Click on the insert link icon (which looks like a section of chain)
  4. Choose the URL or video you want to add in

Some people can add in a “swipe-up” link to their story, but they need to earn it.

The swipe-up link is exclusive to verified users or those with 10,000 followers on the platform.

Swipe up exists mostly as a marketing tool and an effective one at that.

Companies use the feature to increase traffic output on their sites, and people spend roughly 10 minutes more time on site due to stories.

How to use Instagram for activism

With the pandemic yet to exit the global stage, some people have taken to campaigning and protesting online.

Those who can’t make their way to protests or events around the world can use Instagram and other apps as effective ways to spread information and support.

The latest example was the #BlackoutTuesday movement, which saw people post black squares to their accounts in solidarity with protesters.

Activists have urged people to use their accounts to share useful resources and websites.

Giving protesters a platform by forwarding on their content, adding links to other websites such as donation or campaign pages.

The Black Visions Collective, Emergency Release Fund and National Police Accountability Project number a few of the scores of dedicated websites vital to the cause.

People can also follow accounts from black activists and artists and ensure they spread their work on.

Facebook friends can now hide posts from you, but here’s how you can do the same

Facebook is trying to save us all from the embarrassment of our oldest posts. The social network has announced a swathe of new tools designed to hide older posts from your younger self without permanently deleting them.

Facebook says its new ‘Manage Activity’ setting will help people better control their presence on Facebook. In a blog post about the new tools – designed to protect users privacy – Facebook has stated: “We know that people’s posts from years ago may not represent who they are now – e.g. old Facebook statuses from university. This tool lets you move posts you want to hide from others but keep for yourself to an archive and remove posts that you simply want to delete.”

As well as making it easy to hide posts from nosy friends – or potential employers, Facebook is also making it easier for you to unearth older status updates, photos and videos in the first place.

From today, users will be able to filter posts by a person and date range, which will make it easier to go through and quickly curate your old posts.

Android malware targets banking apps, including PayPal, Barclays, more

“We believe people should have the ability to manage and control their data, and we will continue to develop new ways to honour people’s privacy by providing greater transparency and controls,” Facebook added.

The new tools are launching today and will be available via the iOS and Android apps. The lightweight Facebook Lite app, designed to take up less storage on your device and work with slower mobile internet connections for developing countries, will also enjoy the change. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when, or if, it will be available for those logging in via a standard web browser.

  • Netflix viewers beware! If you see THIS, someone STOLE your account

Facebook is having a busy few weeks with the firm recently unveiling a brand-new look. The long-awaited redesign went live to users across the globe last month and not only looks different but also brings an improved experience.

Facebook says it has made it easier to find what you’re looking for faster with new streamlined navigation. That means it should be quicker to find videos, games and Groups plus page transitions now load faster. Users can also switch on Dark Mode which reduces the glare of the screen which is ideal for those who enjoy a bit of Facebook at night.

Finally, it’s now easy to create Events, Pages, Groups and ads on Facebook plus you can preview a new Group you’re starting in real-time, and see what it looks like on mobile before you create it.

Life after death: ‘Time paused’ as man left his body in shocking near-death experience

Life after death accounts are widely disputed by most medical experts but there are people who claim to have had profound and seemingly unnatural experiences. One such person is Peter, who shared his memories of a near-death experience (NDE) from when he was only nine-years-old. Peter told the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation (NDERF) he suffered from bronchial asthma in 1967.

Peter was rushed to the hospital with his mother where he was injected with penicillin.

After the injection, Peter belives he escaped his physical body.

He said: “At that moment, I was up in a corner of the ceiling in the treatment room

“I was watching my mum, the nurse, and a doctor urgently moving around my body that was slumped in a chair.

  • Near-death experience: Woman sees the world from above in ‘afterlife’

“I could see everything from different viewpoints within the room but mostly from above.

“I watched and felt the urgency within the medical staff and the loving compassion and concern of my mother.”

Although Peter does not remember how long he stayed in this state, he compared said it felt as if “time ceased or paused”.

He could see the doctors rushing into the room to inject him with a needle.

He said: “Later, I found out it was adrenaline or something like that.

The existence of an ‘afterlife’ remains a matter of belief

“As soon as I saw the doctor injected me in my thigh, I was back in my body but no longer had difficulty breathing.

“My mum was crying and relieved, as were the medical staff.”

In the aftermath of the incident, Peter told NDERF the experience was both pleasing and distressing.

He also claims to have become more loving, more aware and more spiritual.

  • Near-death experience: Woman sees the world from above in ‘afterlife’

However, Peter’s experience is not unique and many people who have stood on the brink of death recall seeing lights, leaving their bodies or hearing otherwordly voices.

According to Dr Sam Parnia from NYU Langone School of Medicine in New York City, these are very common phenomena.

He said during an OZ Talk: “People describe a sensation of a bright, warm, welcoming light that draws people towards it.

“They describe a sensation of experiencing their deceased relatives, almost as if they have come to welcome them.

“They often say that they didn’t want to come back in many cases, it is so comfortable and it is like a magnet that draws them that they don’t want to come back.

“A lot of people describe a sensation of separating from themselves and watching doctors and nurses working on them.”

According to the NHS, NDEs are not genuine instances of a person dying.

Instead, there could be natural explanations for these phenomena, such as hallucinations caused by a brain starved of oxygen.

The NHS said in 2014: “The existence of an ‘afterlife’ remains a matter of belief, not scientific proof.”

Jeffrey Epstein wife: Was Epstein married? Did Jeffrey Epstein have children?

Netflix’s new series Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich focuses on the crimes of the convicted sex offender against young women and children. However, some viewers have been left wondering whether he was ever married himself with a family – here’s what you need to know.

Was Jeffrey Epstein married and did he have children?

Jeffrey Epstein is a convicted sex offender who died while he was awaiting trial in Manhattan in 2019.

He is now the focus of a new Netflix documentary called Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich.

Across its four episodes on the streaming platform, the show foregrounds the stories of the sexual assault survivors.

But alongside this, the series examines how Epstein was able to get away with his crimes for so long and who was potentially involved in the cover up.

  • Jeffrey Epstein Netflix documentary: What’s the 5th amendment right?

Following the focus on his crimes in the new show, some viewers have been wondering more about his family life.

The convicted sex offender was never married but did have a number of high-profile girlfriends.

Epstein’s two most high-profile long-term girlfriends were Eva Andersson-Dubin and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Andersson-Dubin and Epstein were romantically linked for an 11-year period in the 1980s.

Maxwell and Epstein later met in the early 1990s and she has also been accused by fellow survivors of involvement in procuring underage girls for sex.

Maxwell denies these claims and has not been seen in public for many years.

However, according to Business Insider, Epstein reportedly once said he would consider marrying Andersson-Dubin’s daughter Celina Dublin.

Sources told the publication Epstein had said to his associates in 2014 if he ever married, it would be to Celina, who was 19 at the time.

David Attenborough pens vision to save planet ‘we CAN turn things around’

The broadcaster and naturalist, 94, is releasing a book that shows how mankind can turn things around and help the environment. A Life On Our Planet: My Witness Statement And Vision For The Future will be published in the autumn, and offers a “different future”. Sir David said: “This book records some of the dreadful damage mankind has already wrought upon the natural world and the real and imminent danger that things could get much worse if we do not act now. But it is also a hopeful book. It offers a different future.

“It describes some of the ways in which we can begin to turn things around if only we all have the will to do so.

“Surely together we must now find that determination and begin to make that change for the sake of all the inhabitants of our planet.

“The Earth’s life-support machine, the thing we humans rely upon for everything we need, runs on its biodiversity.

“Yet the way we live on Earth now is sending it into a decline. I have been a witness to this decline. This book contains my witness statement, and my vision for the future – the story of how we came to make this, our greatest mistake, and how if we act now we can yet put it right.”

The book will reflect on Sir David’s career exploring and documenting the natural world, and will look at the decline of the planet’s environment he has observed first hand.

It will be released by Ebury in October to coincide with the launch of a Netflix documentary film of the same title.

Sir David has previously advised on how we can all help to look after the planet. His biggest tip was not to be wasteful. He said: “Don’t waste electricity, don’t waste paper, don’t waste food. Look after the natural world.”

Wine tasting at home: How to learn the art of wine tasting from your sofa

There’s more to wine than the initial taste. In a few simple steps, you will be able to spot subtle differences between wines. Aldi reveals how to master wine tasting at home.

You don’t really wine taste, you actually wine smell, says Aldi’s wine experts.

Swirling the wine around in the glass enables you to do this much more effectively so it’s a crucial step in assessing wine.

Aroma plus taste equals flavour.

Go with the grape

With the wealth of wines now available, it can sometimes be overwhelming when picking wines.

If you don’t know where to start, start with the grape variety. This is the best indication as to what a wine will taste like.

Wines are all made from different grape varieties that subtly taste of different things and create wines with different structures too. For example, medium-bodied.

  • Coronavirus:Ingenious way Italy’s wine used in battle against COVID-19

Do your research

A little bit of knowledge can go a long way. Swotting up on different wines from across the globe and the grape varieties available in certain countries will make a huge difference.

Old World wines (from Europe) are usually labelled by region and not grape variety.

Chablis for example is a place in France, where the wines are made from Chardonnay and Rioja is in Spain, where the majority of wines are red and made predominantly from the Tempranillo grape.

When buying wines from the Old World therefore it really pays to learn what grape varieties are grown where.

So, if you know you like Sauvignon Blanc, then a Sancerre could be a good choice and if you’re a fan of Chianti wines then Sangiovese could be the grape for you.

Match the food to the wine

When it comes to food and wine matching, the two key things to remember are to match the weight of the wine to the weight of the dish.

Light seafood works well with light whites but a big steak would benefit from a big red wine.

It’s always useful to bear in mind the saying ‘what grows together goes together’.

For example, Italian wine tends to work really well with Italian food!

Chill out

It’s not always wrong to chill red wine! As a rule of thumb however, only chill light-bodied wines.

Cooling fruity red wines accentuates the tannins (the drying sensation you can get from red wines in the mouth) and slightly mutes the fruit so if you have a light red, it can handle some chilling.

To put this to the test, try a bottle of Aldi’s Vignobles Roussellet Pinot Noir

Got a decanter handy? That’s a plus.

Most red wines will benefit from a bit of air so decanting wine not only helps you look like a pro but allows the wine to ‘breathe’ so you can more easily enjoy those all-important aromas.

The way you store your wine is important, too.

If stoppered with a cork, wine should always be laid horizontally once bought so that the it doesn’t dry out.

However, sparkling wines and corks closed under screw cap can be kept upright.

Out and about

When you are in a restaurant and you are brought the wine to taste, the purpose is for you to check that the wine is ‘clean’.

It’s your job to ensure there are no obvious faults in the wine (such as the wine being corked) and you are happy to take it.

Again, if you swirl the wine here before tasting it, it will look impressive!

A corked wine does not mean there are bits of cork in it from a carelessly opened bottle, it is when there is a mouldy, slightly woody, earthy smell to the wine that has come from a tainted cork.

So if a wine smells musty, it could well be corked!
