Love Island fans start petition against getting dogs shipped from Russia after Tommy and Molly Mae’s puppy dies – The Sun

LOVE Island fans have started a petition to end the cruel trade of getting dogs shipped from Russia after Tommy and Molly-Mae’s puppy Mr Chai dies six days after coming to U.K.

Tonight, the influencer, 21, and her boxer boyfriend took to Instagram to inform fans that the tiny Pomeranian did not die from being on an airplane.

The petition, which at the time of publishing had already gathered over 5,000 signatures, is asking to end the sale of puppies from third party breeders in the UK who fly in dogs from countries like Russia.

It states: “Why do we need to fly puppies over from Russia?? A poor puppy being put under that amount of stress at such a young age. This cannot be good for the health of such a young pup.”

The petition also references Lucy’s Law, which prohibits the sale of pups from third party sellers.

Lucy’s Law became active in April 2020 and says a buyer should be able to physically see a puppy interact with its mother in its place of birth.

Lucy Jayne who began the petition wrote: “Why this may fall into a grey area whether it breaks Lucys Law, i still believe it to be unjust and therefore I feel the government laws need adjusting to protect these animals.”

Adding to her emotional protest, Lucy wrote: “I have no evidence that the puppies are coming from a farm in Russia (although there is speculation), if anyone does I would welcome they share their evidence. My main point is that I personally don’t think morally It is right that these poor animals are being transported over 1500 miles across the world when we have UK based breeders breeding the same breed of dogs.”

Many fans agreed and signed their names to the passionate cause.

One wrote: “I believe this should be stopped! Poor puppies are dying because they are not receiving the proper care they deserve. They are being sold for thousands of pounds and interbred carelessly to give them the “instagram look” and it is wrong!!”

And a second added: “It's cruel and inhumane!”

While another penned: “It’s not right”

Speaking tonight Molly-Mae said: "I can't even explain how happy we were when we got him. He was absolutely everything. He was just perfect. We just had our little baby – it was like we'd had a baby.

"For the first two days he was absolutely fine. From two days in, we started to pick up on a few things so we took him to the vet. I could tell something wasn't right."

She added: "The vet rang up and said Chai had a seizure and he died. Tommy literally threw up everywhere. I was like: 'It's a prank' and she was like: 'No, your dog has died.'"

Molly-Mae also hit back at claims they had taken the dog out before he'd had has vaccinations, saying: "Chai had every single one – we have the paperwork. He was four and a half months old."

Explaining she had paid for a fast-track autopsy, the star claimed: "Chai's skull wasn't fully developed. Part of his brain was exposed. In a tiny dog, any knock probably wasn't very helpful."

She added: "Whilst we completely understand everyone's opinions about being shipped over from Russia, what you need to understand is that is not what made him die."

Today, the breeder who sold Tommy the dog insisted the pet was healthy, saying she had "rigorous processes in place to check animal health".

The account for Tiffany Chihuahuas & Pomeranians wrote on Facebook: "I only work with trusted people and have a small network of reputable breeders who care for their dogs to the very highest standards and see animals as part of their family.

"I have rigorous processes in place to check animal health and the suitability of forever homes providing support and guidance for health and wellbeing throughout.

"I have worked with dogs my entire life and this has never happened before."

Jacqueline Jossa gives ‘love rat’ husband Dan Osborne last chance ultimatum to save their marriage – The Sun

JACQUELINE JOSSA has ordered husband Dan Osborne to focus on her or he’s out for good.

The ex-EastEnders actress, 27, returned to her £1million marital home this week having walked out following several bust-ups during lockdown.

Former Towie star Dan, 28, begged her to come back and she accepted, but issued her own Osborne Ultimatum — to stop his infatuation with glamorous female reality stars.

He has been pictured partying at a showbiz bash with Housewives of Cheshire star Christine McGuinness, wife of telly host Paddy, and on a yacht with Love Island’s Gabby Allen in recent years.

A pal said: “Dan insists he has done nothing wrong but Jacqueline is frustrated he can’t just focus solely on her and thinks he has been communicating with other girls.

“She remains suspicious as she has caught him out before and he has form for being pictured chatting to attractive female celebrities at showbiz parties when she’s been at home or working.”

In the latest of many bust-ups during lockdown, Jacqueline told Dan she wanted a six-month break from their three-year marriage and in that time wanted him to prove he still loves her.

But what Dan didn’t anticipate was Jacqueline following up her demand by moving out — and not telling him.

On Sunday we revealed how she had quit their Essex home with their daughters Ella, five, and Mia, 22 months, and moved in with her parents, whose new house is nearby.

The same day as we revealed their separation, Jacqueline had claimed on social media she needed “breathing space”.

But deep down she is privately fuming with Dan over his infatuation with glamorous female reality stars.

The pal added: “Jacqueline had never before left the house after a row. It’s the most drastic action she’s ever taken.

“It blindsided Dan, who was distraught, as it meant he couldn’t see the couple’s two young children.

“Whenever they rowed and needed time to cool off previously, he would always see the kids as they continued to live together inside the house.

“Jacqueline’s back now after Dan begged her to come home and he’s going to get another chance to prove his loyalty to her.

“Her friends cannot understand why she keeps going back to him but she’s just so in love — and knows they make a great team, despite the fact they fight non-stop.

“She really missed him — and they barely spent two days apart.”

Dan, who has a six-year-old son, Teddy, from a previous relationship, will be on extra good behaviour now Jacqueline has her parents’ home nearby where she can escape their rows.

Dan has been telling pals they are back together and that there are no problems, while Jacqueline has returned to Instagram plugging her clothing range, implying everything is back to normal.

She claims empty rooms in her parents’ new house are the perfect backdrop for her commercial social media posts.

But behind the scenes Dan is now on his final warning and such is the clamour for Jacqueline to split up with him, both from pals and her fans on social media, he appreciates he is running out of chances to keep their marriage intact and he is determined to keep her happy.

Jacqueline is increasingly concerned she will never be able to shift the “doormat” reputation she has gained since getting together with the reality TV hunk seven years ago.

A source close to Dan added: “Dan is walking on eggshells and won’t do anything that may jeopardise their marriage or do anything to upset Jacqueline.”

Since they have been together, Dan has been pictured enjoying the company of a number of female celebs, which has irked Jacqueline.

In September 2018 he was spotted arriving at a hotel with Celebrity Big Brother co-stars model Chloe Ayling and US reality TV star Natalie Nunn following a boozy after-party.

Chloe later alleged they had enjoyed a threesome, which Dan denied.

In March 2019, he was seen kissing Love Island’s Alexandra Cane during a night out in Manchester but managed to avoid being pictured.

In November last year, shortly before Jacqueline was set to appear in I’m A Celebrity, he was snapped striking up a friendship with Scouse model Christine McGuinness at a charity event where he seemed worse for wear.

Then, while Jacqueline was in the jungle, her fellow campmate Myles Stephenson told her something had gone on between Dan and his ex Gabby Allen — who Dan had been pictured getting cosy with on a yacht in Majorca in April 2018.

Myles’s claim triggered a mini-meltdown which wasn’t shown on TV, and in an I’m A Celebrity first, Jacqueline was allowed to contact Dan, to confront him about the claims, which he again publically shot down.

When Jacqueline left EastEnders after eight years in 2018, while pregnant with her second child, she had dreams of pursuing roles in theatre or even movies.

She left with a big reputation, having won the National Television Awards’ best newcomer in 2012 and Inside Soap Awards best actress in 2013.

Jacqueline had every reason to be optimistic, with former soap actresses Suranne Jones and Michelle Keegan achieving critical acclaim for their roles in hit BBC dramas Dr Foster and Our Girl.

But instead of competing for Baftas and Tonys, Jacqueline has become better known for her car-crash marriage, yielding an impressive social media following of fans eager for more insight into her family life.

Indeed, the public’s interest was a big factor in her being crowned Queen of the Jungle.

Her impressive 2.7million Instagram followers helped bag her own lucrative In The Style fashion range.

She has teased a return to Walford, predicting she could reprise her character Lauren Branning in the next five years after soap bosses left the door open for a comeback.

Lauren fled to New Zealand with son Louis after surviving a fall from the top of the Queen Vic pub which claimed the life of her sister Abbie.

Last month Jacqueline said: “I absolutely love EastEnders, love the people, the production and I absolutely love Lauren Branning with all my heart.

“It doesn’t feel like it was a goodbye for ever, definitely not, well not from my end anyway. I would love to go back some day.

“I could hobble back in on my walking stick one day.”

Who would have thought the misery of Albert Square would be another place to escape to.

Love Island's Jack Fowler lifts lid on new girlfriend after going public

Let’s be honest, to say Jack Fowler sent fans into total meltdown after unveiling his girlfriend on Instagram is a total understatement.

The Love Island star found himself trending on Twitter just moments after posting a snap of himself and Joanne Morales, looking all kinds of loved-up.

And, despite being ‘aware’ of the reaction, the 24-year-old admitted he didn’t quite see the hysteria coming.

Side note: How could you not?

Opening up about the response, he told ‘I was very aware of that, my phone went nuts.

‘I thought, let me just let it be known, let me just put it out on a random Tuesday… No real hype, let me just float that one out there.

It’s all good over on this side

A post shared by JACK FOWLER (@_jackfowler_) on

‘I didn’t expect it to get such a reaction.

‘There were girls in my DMs, putting Justin Bieber’s lyrics there – the song That Should Be Me. Just girls crying in my DMs.’

‘I really ruined 2020 for a lot of people, but I didn’t mean to!’ he joked. ‘Everyone has been saying, lockdown has been hard but now Jack’s not single, it’s even harder. But that’s life!’

Jack and NuNude CEO Joanne met through a mutual friend at Wireless festival last year, and started messaging before going on a few dates.

The pair have clearly been inseparable ever since, and are isolating together during lockdown.

Things took a turn at the beginning of the month when the ITV2 star made their relationship public knowledge, sharing their first photo on social media.

And the ITV2 star praised the businesswoman – who counts Kylie Jenner among her customers – for coping with the attention so well.

‘She deals with it really well. She’s cool with it,’ he said. ‘She’s got her own business going on so she’s in her own field.

‘She is so successful in her own right. She’s the founder of NuNude, a worldwide-known brand that is all about everyone being accepted in the world.

‘She’s gone viral. She’s had Kylie Jenner wear her clothing, she’s been in Forbes magazine. She works really hard herself.’

And it’s clear to see Jack is absolutely smitten with Joanne.

Raving about her, he added: ‘Joanne is very independent, she’s in the press for her own thing. She does not want press. She understands it’ll happen but she doesn’t go out of her way to try and get press off the back of me.

‘She genuinely did not watch Love Island. She knows of Love Island, and she knew who I was because of social media, but she had no idea why I was called OluwaJack or Black Jack…

‘She doesn’t care too much about it… So that’s quite nice from my perspective.’

We absolutely love to see it.

Love Island’s Dr Alex reunites with his stunning girlfriend Amelia – but has to stay two metres away – The Sun

LOVE Island star Dr Alex George was today reunited with his stunning girlfriend Amelia Bath after two months apart.

The 30-year-old NHS hero and former reality star shared a picture of the moment they saw each other again for a picnic in the sunshine.

However, following social distancing rules to the centimetre, the pair had to sit on separate rugs two metres apart.

He wrote: "After SO long apart what a feeling to finally see you AB ❤️ So close yet so far staying 2 meters apart.. but right now we will take what we can get x."

Alex posted the same picture on his Instagram Story, explaining: "First time in two months."

He has spoken about his pain at being apart from her while he fights the coronavirus at a hospital in Lewisham, south east London, saying: “I am feeling alright, I am tired.

"One of the challenges is that I am away from my girlfriend, I made the decision that I didn’t want to risk giving it to her or her family, so I am up in London staying on my own – isolating and she is staying elsewhere so I don’t give it to her.

“That is difficult when you have a busy shift like today you want to go home and sit and chat with someone and just hang out with someone to relax after what happened, it’s hard when you can’t and you are on your own.”

He added: “Technology is good, being able to FaceTime and chat to people. I try and share as much of my experience as I can because it does help, even doing these videos as well, telling you guys how I feel and what I am doing does help me get through a challenging time.”

Alex started dating Ibiza Weekender star Amelia at the end of 2018 after failing to strike up any romantic relationships in the Love Island villa.

"I LOVE MY MAMA! Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there," he wrote.

Love Island’s Luke T and Siannise celebrate three months together with romantic rooftop snog in throwback snap – The Sun

LOVE Island's Luke Trotman and Siannise Fudge have marked their three month anniversary with a sweet throwback snap online.

The couple – who hit it off on the ITV2 dating show – are currently celebrating the special day in lockdown together.

Marking the occasion on Instagram, Siannise uploaded a snap of them posing on a balcony from a previous photoshoot.

The beautician looked incredible in a floor length black gown and gold jewellery, while Luke was snapped wearing a bomber jacket, a white t-shirt and trousers.

Alongside the photo, Siannise wrote: "@luketroytrotman 3 months. I love you."

The couple have gone from strength to strength since leaving the villa – having only spent one hour apart.

Earlier this week, Luke and Siannise were tricked into promoting a fake beauty product by a YouTube prankster.

The prankster, who goes by the name of JaackMaaate said he targeted the Islanders because he thinks the ITV2 show is "a load of s**t".

He'd spent years roasting the Love Islanders online before befriending them through Instagram and Twitter to gain their trust.

Luke T and Siannise, who came second on Love Island in January, were apparently "bang on it" as the enthusiastic stars congratulated JacckMaate on his fake business venture.

Appearing together in the clip, Luke told the camera: "Hey Jack! Massive massive congrats on launching your new moisturising cream."

Siannise added: "We've heard it is absolutely amazing. We'll have to try it out!"

Throwing more cash their way, JaackMaate said he paid the stars extra to "mug off" a rival YouTuber, Keemstar.

Happy to comply, Luke said in the video: "Also a massive happy 70th birthday to Grandpa Keem. Stay safe!"

‘Love & Hip Hop’ star blew PPP loan on Rolex, child support, feds say

A star on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” allegedly scammed the federal government’s coronavirus loan program out of more than $2 million — and blew much of the cash on jewelry and child support payments, authorities said Wednesday.

Maurice “Mo” Fayne — who appeared in the reality-TV show’s eighth season — made his first court appearance Wednesday in Georgia on federal bank fraud charges, according to the US Department of Justice.

Fayne, 37, applied for a Payment Protection Program loan for a corporation called Flame Trucking on April 15, saying he needed the money to pay employees and for other business expenses.

Instead, he spent much of the $2,045,800 cash infusion to splurge on himself, federal prosecutors alleged.

Within days, he allegedly squandered $85,000 in jewelry — including a Rolex Presidential watch, a diamond bracelet, a 5.73 carat diamond ring. He also spent $40,000 for child support, the prosecutors said.

When federal agents interviewed him on May 6, Fayne denied the allegations.

But a search of his home in Dacula on Monday turned up about $80,000 in cash, including $9,400 that Fayne had in his pockets, and the jewelry he allegedly purchased with the PPP funds.

Agents also found a 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith, which still had a temporary dealer tag on it. And they seized about $503,000 in PPP funds from three of Fayne’s bank accounts.

“The defendant allegedly stole money meant to assist hard-hit employees and businesses during these difficult times, and instead greedily used the money to bankroll his lavish purchases of jewelry and other personal items,” said assistant attorney general Brian A. Benczkowski in a statement.

The Department of Justice has launched an investigation into the $670 billion program set up to help small businesses struggling amid the coronavirus pandemic. It filed charges last week against two other people who allegedly scammed the program.

The Trump administration has also pledged to review all loans larger than $2 million, amid outcry over big companies like Shake Shack and the Los Angeles Lakers getting help.

Who'll find love on our virtual date?

Who’ll find love on our virtual date? This week it’s Ysabelle, 29, and Archie, 29, but will romance be on the cards?

  • Every week FEMAIL sends a couple on a blind date and asks them to report back
  • PR consultant Ysabelle, 29, and marketing manager Archie, 29, shared their date
  • Would you like us to find you a date? Are you a singleton, or is there someone you’d like to send on a blind date? Email: [email protected]

Ysabelle, 29, (pictured) who has been single for three months, is a consultant in public relations

Dating Past?

I’ve had a couple of long-term relationships, but neither was in the UK. My life has been rather nomadic; I was born in Ireland and grew up in Australia — in total I’ve lived in five different countries. I’m now studying for a Masters degree at Leeds University. I have dated a few people in the two years I’ve been here.

Pre-Date Nerves?

I’ve never been on a virtual date, but I’m not someone who gets nervous. It was an exciting change.

First Impressions?

Archie is a good-looking guy. Initially I thought he might be older than me because (in a nice way) he has a mature look, but in fact we’re the same age. I was glad we were both dressed casually; I didn’t want to put pressure on the date by making it overly formal.

Easy To Talk To?

Archie’s a good listener. We spoke about my name and how I must have French ancestors because my surname sounds French, too. And I discovered Archie has travelled extensively around South America, somewhere I want to see when the world eventually opens up.

Single for three months, no children.

A consultant in public relations.

A man who is funny, down to earth and kind. I don’t have time for people who don’t have manners.

It was gorgeous weather, so I sat outside with a gin and tonic while Archie sat inside with a few beers. We discussed what our expectations had been about ‘meeting’ online and how awkward it could have been — and had a laugh about how pleasantly surprised we both were.

Embarrassing Moments?

When Archie’s wi-fi cut out and the call dropped after 30 minutes, I thought it was an excuse to end the date early. But then it happened a few more times and I realised it wasn’t deliberate. I jokingly accused him of trying to get out of the date.

Did Sparks Fly?

Yes, definitely. We only stopped talking because I was getting sleepy — I get up at 5am, so tend not to stay up late. He is lovely.

Would you like to meet in person?

LIKED? That we have very similar goals.

Yes. I’m moving to London when the lockdown ends and have already been looking at a neighbourhood near Archie’s. We swapped numbers and have been messaging one another ever since.

What do you think he thought of you?

Hopefully only good things! I suspect he’ll say I talk a lot.

Would your family Like him?

My family are happy to welcome anyone that I like, but I know they would like Archie.

Archie, 29, (pictured) who has been single for seven months, is a marketing manager

Dating Past?

I’ve had one serious relationship, which lasted for seven years. While it’s true we grew apart, I was more willing to fight for our relationship than she was. It ended seven months ago and since then I’ve dabbled with dating apps. I’ve had both good and bad experiences, but it’s been fun.

Pre-Date Nerves?

Not especially. But that moment when you see one another pop up on the screen is a little weird!

First Impressions?

I was shocked when Ysabelle first started talking because I’d assumed she’s French — she isn’t! However, she’s physically my type and I was really happy.

I’m self-isolating at home with my family and have only summer clothes with me, so while I wanted to make an effort, my options were limited. But I made sure I wore my nicest jumper. I don’t have my computer here, either, so I had to use my phone for the video call.

Easy To Talk To?

Single for seven months after a seven-year relationship, no children.

Marketing manager.

Someone who doesn’t take herself too seriously and is open to exploring new places and travelling

I was worried there would be awkward silences, but that wasn’t the case at all. Ysabelle is easy to talk to and we covered everything from where we live to where we’ve been in the world.

It was quite a general chat, though. With the wi-fi cutting out here and there and the weirdness of a virtual date, it was hard to have a deep conversation.

Embarrassing Moments?

Nothing too awkward, except when my wi-fi cut out a few times. Thankfully Ysabelle realised I wasn’t doing it deliberately.

Did Sparks Fly?

Yes — there is definitely chemistry between us. We chatted for two hours while we had a few drinks. It was a lovely Friday evening.

LIKED? Ysabelle is good looking and easy to talk to.

Would you like to meet in person?

Yes, when the lockdown is over. Ysabelle gave me her phone number and we have messaged each other several times since the date.

What do you think she thought of you?

I’m not very good at judging that sort of thing, but I think she liked me.

Would your family like her?

Absolutely. I’m the middle child of five brothers and I think Ysabelle would fit in very well with us.

Would you like us to find you a date ? Fancy a date with an eligible single like you? Or would you like to play cupid for someone else? Email your — or their — details and a photo to [email protected]

Freeform Orders Scripted Limited Series 'Love in the Time of Corona'

Remotely shot series from “Good Trouble” creator Joanna Johnson will look at “love, sex and connection during this time of social distancing”

Freeform has picked up a new scripted limited series titled “Love in the Time of Corona,” the network announced Thursday.

Executive produced by “Good Trouble” duo Joanna Johnson and Christine Sacani, alongside Anonymous Content’s Robyn Meisinger, the four-part romantic comedy series is described as “a funny and hopeful look at the search for love, sex and connection during this time of social distancing.”

The series will film remotely and is set to premiere in August. It in will center on an ensemble of characters who are sheltering in their homes, some of whom are wondering if a hookup with a roommate can ever be casual, while another is kicking herself for deciding to isolate with an ex.

“This is the perfect show for a generation who is learning to love and be loved in a time when the entire world is telling them to stay six feet apart,” Freeform programming and development exec Lauren Corrao said in a statement. “Although the constraints have been difficult during this time, immense creativity has flourished and we could not be more grateful that Joanna brought this series to Freeform.”

“Love is a basic and central need,” Johnson said. “Finding it in the time of Corona may pose unique challenges, but it won’t stop us from forging great love stories, inspiring grand romantic gestures and profound acts of kindness.”

The new project expands Johnson’s relationship with Freeform, which began when she served as writer and co-executive producer on the gymnastics drama “Make It or Break It” during the network’s ABC Family era. She later served as executive producer on “The Fosters” and is creator and writer of the spinoff “Good Trouble.”

Love Island’s Amy Hart slams critics celebrating the show’s cancellation and says that people have lost their jobs – The Sun

LOVE Island's Amy Hart has hit back at those celebrating after the summer series was cancelled.

The 26-year-old told critics to think about the people who have lost their jobs after ITV said coronavirus had forced the show to be postponed until 2021.

Amy – who starred in Love Island 2019 – told fans: "I know there are bigger things going on but before you publicly celebrate the cancellation of Love Island, think of the 300+ freelancers who are without work.

"You didn’t celebrate when airlines stopped flying or all the theatres closed.

"Sending loads of love to the whole Love Island fam x."

The Sun revealed today Love Island has been taken off air for the first time in the show’s history because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The decision to pull the plug on the popular ITV2 show came after bosses admitted they could not guarantee the safety of the contestants amid the on-going Covid-19 pandemic.

It led some critics to make jokes about the cancellation, with one saying: "The good newsLove island 2020 cancelled. The bad news it's coming back in 2021."

Another added: "Some good news to come out of this pandemic. Love Island has been cancelled."

Disappointed bosses revealed they had thought up ways to continue with filming, including testing the contestants for coronavirus and moving the dates to later in the year.

But following crisis talks on Thursday and Friday, it was decided the upcoming series of Love Island could not go ahead.

Kevin Lygo, Director of Television at ITV told The Sun: “We have tried every which way to make Love Island this summer but logistically it's just not possible to produce it in a way that safeguards the well-being of everyone involved and that for us is the priority.

“In normal circumstances we would be preparing very soon to travel out to the location in Mallorca to get the villa ready but clearly that’s now out of the question.

“We are very sorry for fans of the show but making it safely is our prime concern and Love Island will be back stronger than ever in 2021. In the meantime Love Island fans can still enjoy all six series of Love Island on BritBox.”
